Oh, what a difference a week makes.
Last Thursday, the American Idol top 8 spent elimination night celebrating the judge's choice to use their only save of the season on contestant Sam Woolf, but this week the reality set in that there are no more second chances.
Coming off a strong night of performances on Wednesday's '80s-themed show, it was anyone's guess which of the remaining contestants would be placed in the bottom three and who would be sent home with the lowest number of votes.
Keep reading to find out who was eliminated.

And another one bites the dust ... or did they?
With only two eliminations left before the American Idol judges lose their ability to use their Judge's Save, speculation was rampant that it would be used Thursday night.
The Top 8 all gave strong performances Wednesday of the songs they first auditioned with in front of judges Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick, Jr. and Keith Urban, but three contestants still had to be placed in the bottom 3 by host Ryan Seacrest.

All the American Idol contestants sang duets on Wednesday, but one pair had a head start on building chemistry.
"We've been friends for about five years," C.J. Harris told reporters of fellow contestant Dexter Roberts. "We performed our duet ["Alright" by Darius Rucker] back at home."
Harris, 23, and Roberts, 22, found each other randomly, and were brought together by music, while on spring break in Panama City.

American Idol's Top 13 are just as excited to watch the show as couch potatoes as the viewers are at home. It's just a different couch.
"You get to watch a free concert right in front of you and also feel a part of the TV show. It's fun," contestant C.J. Harris, 23, tells PEOPLE of spending the performance shows watching from the blue couches in the stageside contestants' lounge.
In seasons past, the contestants have spent the performance shows backstage until it's their turn to grab the mic. But the season 13 singers are unanimously excited to watch their fellow competitors.
