Which Comic Book Character Will Calista Flockhart Play on TV?

Calista Flockhart just found a super reason to return to broadcast TV.

The actress will join the CBS project Supergirl that's in the works for fall. She will play Cat Grant in the project that will reunite her with executive producer Greg Berlanti, who worked with her on the ABC drama Brothers and Sisters.

Grant first appeared in DC Comics' Adventures of Superman in 1987. For Supergirl, the character is actually a self-made media magnate and founder of CatCo. Having started her career as a reporter, Grant built her company into a global powerhouse, which now employs Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, who will be played by Glee and Whiplash star Melissa Benoist.
