Spy satellites and evil forces are just a few of the elements that will be found in complex new roles for Bradley Cooper and Johnny Depp.
Cooper has been tapped to join Emma Stone in Cameron Crowe's new film, Deep Tiki – a film that combines Hawaiian mythical folklore, love and war – Deadline.com reports.
Depp has signed on to play the lead role in Transcendence, which will mark the directorial debut of Inception cinematographer Wally Pfister, set to begin shooting next year, the Hollywood Reporter says. The plot has Depp's character being sucked into an evil computer that he created.

Emma Stone may play countless comedic heroines but that doesn't mean the actress hasn't experienced her fair share of heartbreak.
Stone speaks candidly with director Cameron Crowe about love in the September issue of Interview magazine (on newsstands Aug. 28).
"What was your first heartbreak like?" Crowe asks.
"I was crawling on the floor. I remember throwing up," Stone, 23, replies.

Director Cameron Crowe and his musician wife, Nancy Wilson, are pulling the plug on their 22-year marriage.
Wilson, a singer and songwriter from the rock band Heart, filed divorce papers Thursday in L.A. County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. She lists June 15, 2008, as the date of their separation.
Crowe, who directed Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous, married Wilson July 23, 1986. The couple have 10-year-old twin boys, William and Curtis.
