What happens to a newly made ballroom dancer after the disco ball trophy?
Usually, the top Dancing with the Stars contestants return to obscurity – er, their glamorous lifestyles – and we never see them on the dance floor again. But now the show is looking to change that.
ABC's entertainment president Paul Lee confirmed to reporters that he "can't talk about the casting yet, but I'd love to see some of the fan favorites from the past seasons come back," EW.com reports.

Whether Carrie Ann Inaba is at work or at home, she always has her heart open to animals.
When the Dancing with the Stars judge saw that a young, injured opossum found wandering on the lot had been threatened by workers, she swooped in and rescued the animal. She put it in a box with food and water, then allowed it to rest in her darkened trailer.
"I want to give him the best chance at living a long, healthy life," Inaba tells PEOPLE. "A television studio parking lot is not a good place for a little opossum."

It was another low-scoring week for Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Melissa Gilbert, who came in last place with 21 points for their tango on Dancing with the Stars Monday night.
But unlike in seasons past, a usually outspoken Chmerkovskiy says he's not upset, because he expects judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman to deliver tough critiques at this point.
"With a smile on my face and a happy, happy, happy, happy, happy heart, [I'll say] there's nothing we can do right by them, and it is what it is," the professional dancer told reporters backstage after Monday night's show. "Let's be realistic. If we make it to the [dancing duel], we're out. That's a fact, no matter what we do."

After Sherri Shepherd's shocking elimination on Dancing with the Stars last week, the remaining contestants felt the pressure and turned up the heat for Latin Night in the ballroom on Monday.
Taking on the salsa, samba and the Argentine tango, nine couples performed hip-shaking routines that were in some cases downright steamy.
Maria Menounos and Derek Hough performed one of the night's sexiest routines, sealing their salsa with a controversial kiss. "That was hot," Carrie Ann Inaba said, but "I don't think you needed the kiss ... Dance is about the illusion of passion."
