An ugly family dispute between Casey Kasem's children and their stepmom over access to their ailing father appears to be largely over.
In a Los Angeles Superior Court hearing Friday, attorneys for Kasem's daughter, Julie, 38, told a judge that she was withdrawing her request for legal control of her father's healthcare as part of a confidential visitation agreement.
"It's been resolved," Julie's attorney Andrew Katzenstein told PEOPLE following the hearing. "We're glad the case was able to settle."
Charles Kreindler, an attorney for stepmom Jean Kasem, stated: "Jeannie is very happy that the court proceeding has been dismissed and that a settlement agreement has been reached with regard to visitation. Jeannie is about to celebrate her 34th anniversary with Casey tomorrow, and his care, dignity, well-being and happiness are of primary importance."

Casey Kasem's three adult children from his first marriage hope to be able to visit the ailing radio host in time for the holidays, after an attorney for their stepmom expressed a desire to try to settle their differences.
The three kids – Kerri, 41, Julie, 38, and Mike, 40 – have been fighting their stepmom Jean, 59, alleging she's cut off all access to their father, 81, since this past summer. The longtime American Top 40 host has advanced Parkinson's disease.
In a Los Angeles courtroom Tuesday, a judge urged both sides to reach a visitation schedule to quell the long-simmering feud.

Three grown children of iconic American Top 40 host Casey Kasem are seeking a court's help to get access to their ailing father, whom they haven't been allowed to see in three months, they say.
In papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, his daughter Julie Kasem, 38, is requesting a conservatorship over her 81-year-old father's healthcare.
The children from Kasem's first marriage, Julie; Kerri, 41; and Mike, 40; allege that their stepmom, Jean Kasem, 59, who's been married to their father for more than 30 years, has abruptly blocked all access to their dad.

It's been more than a decade since Kerri Kasem has been inside the sprawling multimillion-dollar Los Angeles mansion of her famous father, Casey Kasem. It's been three months since she last saw him at all, when weekly visits outside the home with his three children from his first marriage came to an abrupt stop.
Kerri, 41, and a growing number of Kasem's loved ones, point the finger at Kasem's second wife, Jean.
Kasem, 81, the legendary host of radio countdown show American Top 40, has advanced Parkinson's disease, and his family and friends – including his other daughter Julie, 38; his son Mike, 40; his younger brother Mouner, 77 – say he's been cut off from the outside world by his wife of more than three decades.
"Keeping us from our father is the worst thing she could possibly do for his health," says Kerri, a host on Clear Channel radio, who adds their relationship with Jean, 59, has been estranged their whole lives.
