Many dream of kissing Matt Damon, but Michael Douglas is one of the lucky few who has actually done it. But for him, it was simply part of the job.
"Once you get that first kiss in, you are comfortable," Douglas, who stars as pianist Liberace in HBO's Behind the Candelabra, tells New York magazine in its latest cover story (on newsstands May 13).
"Matt and I didn't rehearse the love scenes. We said, 'Well – we've read the script, haven't we?' "

Catherine Zeta-Jones is hardly facing her latest health battle alone.
The actress's husband of 12 years, Michael Douglas, is fully there for her as she enters treatment once again for her bipolar II disorder, friends say.
"He couldn't be more supportive, just like she is of him. They're solid," a friend tells PEOPLE.
The friend adds: "They're really, really devoted to each other."

Catherine Zeta-Jones is returning to treatment for her bipolar II disorder.
"Catherine has proactively checked into a health care facility," her rep, Cece Yorke, tells PEOPLE. "Previously Catherine has said that she is committed to periodic care in order to manage her health in an optimum manner."
Meanwhile, a source tells PEOPLE that Zeta-Jones was planning to return to treatment as a way for doctors to monitor her medication. "There was no big problem," says a friend. "This was just a good time to do it. She is in between projects. This has always been part of the plan. She would manage her health. She is vigilant about it."

Following the Academy Awards on Sunday, Graydon Carter's Vanity Fair after-party at the Sunset Tower Hotel was the place to be.
Arriving shortly after 11 p.m., Jennifer Aniston and fiancé Justin Theroux relaxed at the Tower Bar where a jazz combo performed.
Aniston chatted with Molly Sims but Theroux was never far. The couple was inseparable, smiling and laughing as the night went on. Aniston looked like she was having a ball and so happy in her red Valentino gown.

It was a great night for music at the Academy Awards on Sunday – particularly for the ladies.
But who really knocked it out of the park?
Jennifer Hudson's performance of "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" brought the audience to its feet, while Barbra Streisand delivered a wonderful tribute to Marvin Hamlisch with her rendition of "The Way We Were."

Strike up the band, for Sunday night's Oscars promise to be very musical.
In the most detailed preview yet of what is to be expected – and what isn't – the 85th annual Academy Awards producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron tell Deadline.com that their special tribute to the resurgence of movie musicals in the past decade will star Les Misérables nominees Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway with costars Russell Crowe, Eddie Redmayne, Aaron Tevit, Samantha Barks, and Helena Bonham Carter; Dreamgirls Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson; and Chicago winner Catherine Zeta-Jones.
"What we don't want to do is play it safe," says Zadan about the show in general, admitting – repeatedly – that the job of producing it is "enormous."

Since going public with her bipolar II disorder diagnosis in 2011, Catherine Zeta-Jones has taken a little time to reflect.
"It's been an intense time, in good ways and bad," she says in the December issue of InStyle. "You find out who you really are and who you're married to. You find things inside yourself you never imagined were there."
As for being so forthcoming about her battle with depression, Zeta-Jones, 43, whose next movie Broken City is out in January, admits it hasn't been easy.
