Chloë Grace Moretz brought a very special plus-one to the premiere of her film Carrie – her mom.
The actress, 16, hit the carpet Monday in a floor-length Valentino dress and was joined by her entire family to celebrate her big night.
The starlet – who had asked her Twitter followers last week to pray for her mother without further elaboration – was excited to have her join in the festivities.
"She's here and she's looking hot," Moretz told PEOPLE with a laugh at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood. "Teri is looking hot."

What if telekinetic anti-heroine Carrie was a real person?
Well, for starters, her dry cleaning bill would be huge. And she'd obviously terrify random people when she made things (and people) move with her mind.
To promote the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's 1974 novel Carrie, viral video marketing company Thinkmodo created the following prank, unleashing a telekinetic, Carrie-like customer on a New York coffee shop.
Thanks to some spring-loaded books, a harnessed stuntman and some remote-controlled tables, the customer "wrecks" the coffee shop – and freaks out the unsuspecting customers.

Devoted daughter Chloë Grace Moretz has issued a heartfelt request on behalf of her mom, Teri.
"Please pray for my mama <3" the Carrie actress Tweeted on Tuesday, without elaborating on the reason why.
Earlier this year, the 16-year-old starlet opened up to InStyle U.K. about her mom's cancer battle when she was 10, calling it "scary and hard," reports the Daily Mail.
It is not known whether that illness is related to Moretz's recent plea.

It was a red-hot Fourth of July around the country, but celebs on both coasts played it cool as they hung with friends, attempted a human pyramid, and hit the beach – or Slip-N-Slide! – in search of some Independence Day fun.
Kendall Jenner, 17, gave a tiny nod to her country in this itty bitty American flag-inspired bikini when she hit the beach with sister Kylie, 15, and Jaden Smith, 14, – a.k.a Kylie's rumored beau.

Chloë Moretz, Jaden Smith and Patrick Schwarzenegger were feted as the biggest and brightest stars of young Hollywood on Tuesday night.
The stars of Glee, Pitch Perfect, Big Time Rush, and more partied poolside at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood for the release of Nylon's young Hollywood issue.
The evening began with an intimate dinner at the Public Kitchen inside the historic hotel where cover girl Moretz arrived with a gaggle of friends ready to celebrate. She and her pals filled up on appetizers of meatballs, burrata cheese and kale but only nibbled on their entrees, choosing to spend time standing and chatting instead.
