Glee stars Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith will don caps and gowns at the end of the fall season and won't be returning for the fourth season.

Other characters also will be graduating from high school and their identities will be revealed in the Sept. 20 premiere, Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy tells The Hollywood Reporter.

"We made that decision and I involved Chris and Lea and they thought that was a good idea," says Murphy. "They both trust the writing and trust me and felt that it would be great to have an open and closed experience for them to go out while they were on top."

• Before hitting the beach with fiancé Eric Johnson back on the west coast, Jessica Simpson was in Chicago enjoying some of the Windy City's most popular eateries. First up: the Paris Club, a trendy French restaurant where Simpson shared sweet moments with Johnson and laughed with a group of friends. The party also enjoyed 10 signature menu items, including goat cheese au gratin and coq au vin during their leisurely three-hour meal. The following night, it was off to nearby Hub 51, this time with a group of 15, where the happy couple stole kisses at the table as they sampled an array of dishes (spicy tuna rolls, chicken enchiladas and lemon icebox pie). Says an onlooker of the couple: "Eric even carried Jessica's designer bag while she was getting up to leave the table."

• After taking in the Screen Actors Guild Awards, nominee Chris Colfer and his fellow Glee cast – Amber Riley, Naya Rivera, Dianna Agron and more – kept the party going at West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont where they ran into … Lindsay Lohan. After spying them across the patio, Lohan settled at their table, wriggling into a chair where she chatted for a while with Colfer, who was very eager to meet her. But the entire group was giddy, erupting into cheers when Matthew Morrison arrived. Later, he met up with Jennifer Morrison, who had been dining elsewhere on the patio.

Golden Globe virgins rejoice – it was your night.

Glee's Chris Colfer scored a major win early Sunday night at the Golden Globes, taking home best supporting actor for his role as Kurt Hummel in Fox's hit, which later earned top honors in the TV category – the award for best series comedy.

"I think I dropped my heart between Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore, so if anyone sees it, please give it back," he said as he excitedly picked up the award. Praising his cast who "deserve this as much as I do," Colfer, 20, spoke of his role, as an openly gay teen, as a positive example for kids who have been bullied in school.

His costar Jane Lynch was named best supporting actress for her role as coach Sue Sylvester.

"The greatest thrill is I get these 14 year-old-kids coming up to me vibrating out of their bodies saying how happy Glee makes them," Lynch, who won the Emmy for the same role, said in her funny acceptance speech.

Glee tackled the issue of bullying on the "Never Been Kissed" episode Tuesday night – and threw in some unexpected love.

In the episode, Kurt finds himself being targeted by a beefy jock Karofsky, who regularly slams Kurt into lockers. Although in the past Kurt has been able to let taunts roll off his back, he's at a breaking point.

In the meantime, Mr. Schuester splits the glee club up into boys versus girls, but assigns the boys to sing songs traditionally sung by women, and the girls to perform songs usually done by men. Mr. Schuester also reveals that one of the glee club's competitors in the upcoming sectionals is from the all-boys school Dalton.
