Tim McGraw, Daughtry to Play CMA Awards

Country will get a little bit rock and roll with the addition of Daughtry to the roster of performers for the 43rd annual Country Music Association Awards, the CMA tells PEOPLE.
The show – to air on ABC Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 8 p.m. ET – will feature a duet between the five-man band (fronted by 2006 American Idol finalist Chris Daughtry) and Vince Gill on "Tennessee Line," a track off Daughtry's most recent album that featured Gill on harmony vocals.
The CMA also announced that Tim McGraw will be returning to perform for the first time in four years.

Chris Daughtry Offers His Tips for a Happy Marriage

Guys, listen up. One of music's hardest working rockers may have the solution to a happy home ... even while away from home for months at a time.
"Honestly, I think the biggest thing is to do what we say we are going to do," Chris Daughtry tells PEOPLE. "When we say we are not going out partying, don't let them find out that you were out
partying. We don't party. We hang out ... We're not out hanging out with random girls and all this stuff. We entertain each other and keep each other in check."
Daughtry, 29, caught up with PEOPLE on the set of his band's new music video, "Life After You" from Leave This Town, about how he keeps his wife of nearly nine years, Deanna, and two kids, Hannah, 13, and Griffin, 11, not missing dad ... much.
Be Generous: "My wife, if she wants it, she will just go out and buy it," Daughtry says. "I have learned that – I have been married almost nine years now – and if she wants something she will definitely [get it]. The last thing I bought her was a really awesome diamond ring that should probably keep me out of trouble for the rest of my life."

Chris Daughtry to Join Rumer Willis on CSI: NY

American Idol favorite Chris Daughtry has signed to guest-star on the 100th episode of CBS's CSI: NY, PEOPLE has learned.
Also bound for the same episode are Rumer Willis, who has already shot her appearance, and Scott Wolf.
The 100th show, set to air in November, centers on the pursuit of a serial killer who targets people named Mac Taylor – the name of the character played by the show's Gary Sinese.

Since getting booted off American Idol, Chris Daughtry has been anything but idle. We caught up with the singer at L.A. radio station KROQ's Weenie Roast concert in Irvine, Calif., where he rocked out in the audience at Rob Zombie's show and snapped pictures with fans backstage. "This is amazing," he told us. "You go on American Idol and you always wonder if you're gonna get rock credibility and to have that – I couldn't ask for more."
