Originally posted 10/04/2009 08:50PM
Sex and the City star Chris Noth and his longtime girlfriend, actress Tara Wilson, are engaged, Entertainment Tonight Canada is reporting.
Noth, 54, broke the news to the show Sunday during an interview at the London, Ontario, outpost of Once Upon A Tea Cup, a teahouse of which he and Canadian-born Wilson, 27, are partners.
The couple, who met when Wilson worked at Noth's New York City bar, the Cutting Room, have a son, Orion Christopher Noth, who turns two in January.
In mid-September, Noth denied a U.K. report that he and Wilson were engaged at the time.
A rep for Noth did not immediately return a request seeking comment.

Chris Noth Has Big Plans for His Baby Boy
Originally posted 05/22/2008 01:30PM
Chris Noth had a very big reason for not being at last week's splashy London movie premiere of Sex and the City – well, a small reason, actually.
That is, his son, Orion Christopher Noth, born in January to the actor and his long-time girlfriend, Tara Wilson.
"He's beautiful. I have to go back and forth because he's out in L.A.," Noth, who besides starring on Law & Order: Criminal Intent is also reprising his TV role of Mr. Big for the Sex and the City movie, tells PEOPLE.
"I skipped the London premiere to be with him," Noth said at Wednesday's Gotham magazine and Joseph Abboud benefit for the Rainforest Action Network, held at the Lord & Taylor department store in Manhattan.

Mr. Big is Mr. Busy these days, settling into first-time fatherhood – at age 53.
And when it comes to being a new dad, Chris Noth says he's taking the challenges as they come. "I don't like to get ahead of myself too much, really," the Sex and the City star told PEOPLE Sunday at the 16th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party in West Hollywood. "[I] really take it moment by moment."
Noth's longtime girlfriend, Tara Wilson, gave birth to their son, Orion Christopher, in January.
"Being with him is very fulfilling, very amazing," Noth said. As for late-night feedings and diaper changes, he added, "We're getting some help, but we're dealing with it!"

The actor's longtime girlfriend, Tara Wilson, gave birth to son Orion Christopher Noth on Jan. 18. And his on-screen flame, Sarah Jessica Parker, was quick to join in the chorus of well wishes.
"I'm thrilled for him because I think, first of all, he's going to make a wonderful, wonderful father," she told Entertainment Tonight.
The 42-year-old actress – who's at the Sundance Film Festival to promote her romantic comedy Smart People, costarring Dennis Quaid – added: "He found a lovely lady to have a child with. It's the perfect time for him and I think he's very ready."
