Where Celebs Party – and Let Loose – at Sundance
Originally posted 01/16/2009 07:05PM
Celebs are heading to the annual Sundance Film Festival, and – despite the recession – this year will find no shortage of spas to help them relax, swag suites to get them stocked up on gear and late-night parties where they can let off steam.
Everyone from Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon to Minnie Driver and of course, Paris Hilton, will be in Park City, Utah, to play.
When Hollywood's stars aren't out promoting their films at the festival, there's plenty to keep them busy during the day. Here's a daytime guide to where that will be happening:

This year's Sundance Film Festival kicked off Thursday night, with cinema's annual rite of winter celebrating its silver 25th anniversary. In the next few days ahead, more excitement is anticipated in the snows of Park City, Utah.
Ashton Kutcher, due to promote Spread (costarring Anne Heche and about Hollywood's lure of sex and money), is expected to help lead the star parade – and bring along wife Demi Moore.
The weekend will also see Jim Carrey with significant other Jenny McCarthy, as he and costars Ewan McGregor and Rodrigo Santoro promote I Love You Philip Morris.

Chris Rock: My Girls Want a Playdate with Obama's Daughters
Originally posted 12/14/2008 12:00PM
With Christmas around the corner, comic Chris Rock's daughters have a tall order on their wish list – a visit to the White House.
"His girls are a little older than mine," said Rock about President-elect Barack Obama's daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7. "My girls want a playdate. They look at the youngest and they're like, 'We can play with her, Daddy.' We'll see."
While Rock works on making that happen, he made a wish come true for a group of tots from the East Side Settlement House Friday night when he took time out from his busy schedule to read Pinkalicious at the Children's Museum of Manhattan.

Chris Rock Brings Holiday Cheer to Kids in N.Y.
Originally posted 12/13/2007 06:35PM
The holidays came early this year for 175 children in New York City, thanks to Chris Rock and his wife Malaak.
The couple arranged for Target and the CW to donate $110,000 to the Bushwick Salvation Army Center (where Rock spent much of his youth in Brooklyn) and Safe Horizons charities, both of which benefit the kids. But the real treat
came on Dec. 8 when each of the 175 children were given a $250 gift certificate to spend at Target, where most made a dash for the ipods and PSPs, though some selected gifts for their families, like one young girl who spent all her money on jewelry for her mother.
After their shopping spree, the kids watched a special screening of two episodes of Everybody Hates Chris at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and chatted with the cast (including Tichina Arnold, pictured), rounding out their
day of celebrity.
