Which Hollywood A-Listers Could Pull Off Disney Villains?
Originally posted 03/31/2010 10:00AM
Glenn Close was sheer evil perfection as the live-action version of Cruella De Vil in the 1996 remake of the Disney classic 101 Dalmatians. And while that creepy character sought to clothe herself in cuddly lap dogs, Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent takes it up a notch, cursing a baby to death by spinning wheel and turning into a dragon! She's so ominous, in fact, she may be the first Disney villain to get her own feature.
The Maleficent movie would, according to The Hollywood Reporter re-tell the 1959 fairy tale from the point of view of the self-proclaimed "Mistress of All Evil." Already rumored to be a front-runner for the delightfully devilish role: Angelina Jolie.
But wouldn't the equally gorgeous Catherine Zeta-Jones be able to bring to life her evil elegance? Her background is in theater and dancing after all. Another casting contender: Kim Cattrall, who has proven time after time she is equally bewitching and b----y!

Geoffrey Arend, the new hubby of Mad Men star Christina Hendricks, is mad for gadgets.
Hendricks said Arend, whom she married in October 2009, has tricked out their Los Angeles home with technology that "blows her mind."
"The house is rigged," the voluptuous redhead told PEOPLE Thursday at Ann Taylor's 2010 Fall Fashion collection showing in the lobby of New York's Ace Hotel. "He's got a projector in the guest room with the screen that comes down. We watch movies in bed.
"And everything is wireless," Hendricks, 34, added. "If he goes out of town, I'm in trouble, because I don't know how everything works."

Here's a lady to break Ken's plastic heart.
Christina Hendricks, known for flaunting her va-va-voom figure on Mad Men, has been transformed, appropriately enough, into a Barbie doll. The $75 collectible is part of Mattel's show-inspired line that includes company partner Roger Sterling, the dapper Don Draper and fashionable wife Betty.
Hendricks's doll captures the redheaded office manager Joan Holloway's coiffed hairdo, fitted skirt and signature accessory: a pen necklace. One notable difference, however: Not even Barbie could compete with Holloway's curves. This doll appears much less buxom than her on-screen inspiration.

Romance seemed to be in the air Saturday at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles as stars and their spouses showed their sweet affection for each other.
Kevin Bacon was a bundle of nerves before his name was announced as best male actor in a TV movie or miniseries for his role in HBO's Taking Chance, but wife Kyra Sedgwick kept him looking his best. How? "I had to blot his face a little," she admitted to PEOPLE at the afterparty.
Mad Men star Christina Hendricks's new husband, Geoffrey Arend, was clearly his wife's biggest fan. "I feel like the luckiest man ever. She's such a cutie pie," he raved. "When Michael C. Hall said 'I want to thank my wife for wearing that dress,' I feel that way every single awards show." Hendricks agreed, telling PEOPLE, "He's been feeling me all night."

Guests noshed on shrimp skewers and other appetizers, catered by the How I Met Your Mother star's boyfriend David Burtka, with drinks provided by Corzo tequila. Mad Men's January Jones thinks costar Christina Hendricks looks great on her new diet – but hopes it doesn't cause her to lose one of her best assets.
"I think she looks beautiful. Her body is amazing," Jones, 31, said at the Entertainment Tonight/PEOPLE Emmy after-party. "My only advice is to not go too far, because if she loses her curves it will be a very sad day."
