Colin Farrell Calls Weight Loss 'Very Healthy'

Why is Colin Farrell looking so thin? At a recent press conference in Spain, the usually fit actor stunned reporters with his appearance – not to mention what he said.
"I lost weight because my role demanded it," Farrell told reporters simply of his upcoming film, Triage. "It was all very healthy."

Colin Farrell: My Son Is Exactly the Way He Should Be

Colin Farrell says he's thankful for the early diagnosis of his 4-year-old son's neuro-genetic disorder and for the vast joy his "little fella" experiences.
"He's nothing but a gift," Farrell, 31, said about son James on the Irish interview show Tubridy Tonight. With paternal pride he said: "As far as I'm concerned he's exactly the way he should be."
Though he was on TV to promote his latest movie, In Bruges, Farrell addressed the topic of James, whose Angelman Syndrome was revealed publicly last year.

Jude, Johnny & Colin to Assume Heath's Last Role

It is taking three top names Jude Law, Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell – to step into Heath Ledger's final role, in the unfinished movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, according to a rep for Law.
Speaking to the BBC, Law's spokeswoman confirmed that the three actors would play Ledger's role of Tony. She was unaware, however, as to how the part would be restructured in the film, which deals with magic.
Ledger, 28, was still shooting the $30-million movie, directed by Terry Gilliam and costarring Christopher Plummer, when he was found dead from an accidental overdose of prescription medicines on Jan. 22.

Sundance Wrap-Up: Quaid, Farrell Save the Day

The festival's over and the swag suites are now closed. PEOPLE Movie Critic Leah Rozen weighs in on the best and worst from this year's Sundance:
Like wine vintages, some years at film festivals are better than others. This year's Sundance Film Festival was by general consensus a lackluster one.
Some 120 features screened during the 10-day festival, which concluded on Saturday (for a complete list of winners, click here). Of these, many highly anticipated commercial entries were washouts, while smaller films that scored with audiences and critics mostly have limited commercial prospects.
Among the biggest disappointments were three films with show business settings and starring big names: What Just Happened?, The Great Buck Howard and The Deal. All three are still seeking distributors.

The Early Buzz at Sundance: Brrr, It's Cold

Forget the Big Buzz. It's all about the Big Brrr this year at the 27th annual Sundance Film Festival, which kicked off in snow-covered Park City, Utah, Thursday.
Thanks to a cold snap, the temperature is below zero at night and barely edges into the teens during the day. Paris Hilton and other Hollywood celebrities planning to make the scene at Sundance should pack their long underwear.
Out of 207 films being shown this year, here's a quick look at five that are generating must-see buzz:
• In Bruges: The festival's opener is a comedy about two Irish hit men (Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson) stuck in Bruges, a quaint medieval town in Belgium, after an assignment goes wrong. (Opens in theaters Feb. 8.)

Colin Farrell Says His Son James Is Doing Well

Colin Farrell said Tuesday that his 4-year-old son James, who has a rare neuro-genetic disorder called Angelman Syndrome, is making progress – and that father and son will be together at the holidays.
The actor, 31, told PEOPLE at a Cinema Society screening of his film Cassandra's Dream in New York that James's progress is "good" and stressed that the Angelman is a condition, "not a disease."
