Hollywood Stars Smash Broadway Records

If you want to break the box office, you get an A-list star – and Broadway's learning that that's as true in theater as it is on the silver screen.
With movie stars on the marquees of its plays, Broadway is seeing one of its best fall seasons in recent years, selling $21.1 million from Oct. 12 to 18, according to The New York Times.
A Steady Rain has grossed over $1 million, thanks to stars Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman. Meanwhile, Shakespeare is hot as never before, with Jude Law raking in $904,914 last week, bringing total box office receipts for Broadway to $21.1 million for the week of Oct. 12 to 18.

Hugh Jackman, Daniel Craig Get Raves for Handling Cell-Phone User

The applause you're hearing on the Great White Way is for the way Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig handled an obnoxious cell-phone user in the middle of their sold-out play, A Steady Rain – now one of the hottest tickets on Broadway.
But the clapping for the play itself isn't nearly as passionate.
"It all comes across like an elongated pitch meeting for an over caffeinated buddy-cop movie that might be directed by Sidney Lumet or Martin Scorsese," writes Reuters critic Frank Scheck.

Heard the one about the frog and the prince? Well, make that a frog and three princes ... but this is no fairytale.
Prince William and Prince Harry have joined
their dad, Prince Charles in cameo performances in an online video to highlight Charles's fight to save the rainforests as part of the Prince's Rainforest Project.
In the 90-second film, which goes live on several Web sites at 1 p.m. EST Tuesday, the young princes are joined by a digitally-created frog and a few real-life stars: Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, Robin Williams, the Dalai Lama, soccer legend Pele and singer Joss Stone.
In the short clip, William, 26, and Harry, 24, are shown sitting together
discussing their fight to save the environment "for all of us," as they
raise awareness of the Prince's Rainforest Project.

Daniel Craig Aims to Take on Tintin
Originally posted 01/27/2009 07:00AM
He may routinely save the world as James Bond, but Daniel Craig is stepping into his bad-guy uniform, to play the evil seaman Red Rackham in the upcoming Steven Spielberg screen adaptation of The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn.
The movie – in which Craig's Defiance costar Jamie Bell (best known as Billy Elliot in the 2000 film of the same name) plays the fearless young reporter Tintin – is already in production, in 3-D, say reports.
Due for release in 2011, this Tintin is expected to be the first in a screen trilogy. Lord of the Rings Oscar-winning director Peter Jackson is set to direct the sequel.

Quantum of Solace star Daniel Craig only has eyes for one Bond girl – his own.
At the world premiere of the new James Bond film, Craig strolled the red carpet Wednesday night in London with girlfriend, Satsuki Mitchell, who wore a Ralph Lauren Collection gown and eagerly told reporters that his favorite Bond girl was "the one on my arm."
"He was a bit spotlight shy and glued to his girlfriend," a source tells PEOPLE. "She straightened his tie a lot and whispered what seemed words of encouragement."

Prince Harry's Favorite Bond Is Not Daniel Craig!
Originally posted 10/30/2008 09:15AM
Prince Harry turned out to help Daniel Craig celebrate the world premiere of Quantum of Solace in London Wednesday night.
So he must be a huge fan of the blond Bond, right? Well ... not exactly.
Before the movie began, Harry and his older brother, Prince William, spent a half-hour outside chatting with 200 servicemen, military veterans and their families.
And high-spirited Harry made no secret of his favorite 007 star. "There's only one Bond," he told Stan Pepper, an 88-year-old veteran. "Sean Connery."

Daniel Craig Says 007's Martinis Left Him 'On the Floor'
Originally posted 10/22/2008 10:40AM
Call it sipping into character.
Daniel Craig, the current James Bond, says not only has he tried a Vesper martini – the drink 007 invented in Casino Royale – but he's done a taste test for the best recipe.
"I've tried about 10 of them," Craig, 40, tells London's Time Out in its Oct. 23 issue. "They're knockout. We did a proper taste test: full measure of gin, full measure of vodka and then another liqueur on top of it. I ended up on the floor."
When he's off duty, the actor says he prefers vodka martinis with an olive. Shaken or stirred? "I don't know who drinks stirred cocktails anymore. I like them ice, ice, ice cold, so you have to shake them up."

Daniel Craig's Latest 007 Wound: His Finger
Originally posted 10/17/2008 01:30PM
Say this for Daniel Craig – he's a tough man in a tough role.
Having already gone on record to explain how he tore his shoulder jumping around as James Bond, the Quantum of Solace star tells Playboy for its November issue what also sent him to the hospital while making his latest 007 caper.
The visit involved his finger. "It wasn't as extreme as all that. I lost the pad. Here," says the actor, 40, showing off a scab on his fingertip. "This is after a month's healing, so it's nothing."

Bond's Daniel Craig Explains Shoulder Sling
Originally posted 10/14/2008 10:00AM
007's latest gadget is far from glamorous. Bond hunk Daniel Craig has been spotted wearing a shoulder sling as he promotes Quantum of Solace. What's ailing him?
The actor reveals that he's undergone surgery to correct a labral tear, or what he calls a "kind of separation of the shoulder."
It's an old injury, the 40-year-old tells the Daily Telegraph magazine, adding, "I've probably aggravated it by jumping around on Bond movies."
"It wasn't an essential operation but if I don't do it now, I could do something on the next movie and rip it out of its socket," he continues. "It's just a pain in the a---, really, and it'll be a long wait before it heals properly."
