Hold on to your Sorting Hats, Potterheads: J.K. Rowling has just rocked your world.
In a new interview, the Harry Potter author, 48, admits she regrets not having Harry and indispensable friend Hermione Granger get together at the end of the series, rather than Hermione and fellow BFF Ron Weasley.
Rowling's interviewer? None other than Hermione herself, AKA Emma Watson, who played the brainy heroine in all the Potter films.
"I wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfillment," Rowling tells Watson for the latest issue of Wonderland, a UK magazine the actress guest edited this month. (Excerpts of the interview were just published in the UK Sunday Times.) "That's how it was conceived, really. For reasons that have very little to do with literature and far more to do with me clinging to the plot as I first imagined it, Hermione ended up with Ron."

Daniel Radcliffe enjoys his privacy, and to help maintain it, he keeps away from social media and movie premieres for films that aren't his own.
"There's certain things you can make a lot easier on yourself," Radcliffe, 24, tells the U.K.'s Sky News. "If you don't, for instance, go to premieres that aren't [for] a film you're in, or don't just turn up at other events and stuff like that, then that's obviously gonna help to not fuel [interest]."
Radcliffe adds that when celebrities regularly divulge details of their lives on Twitter, it makes their requests for privacy seem less genuine.

The Harry Potter cast has come a long way since Hogwarts.
On Nov. 4, 2001, a very fresh-faced Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint hit the red carpet at London's Odeon theater for the world premiere of the franchise's first big-screen installment, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (released as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the U.S.).
Radcliffe, then 11, gushed about his excitement for the star-making role, telling PEOPLE, “My face and my stomach are vibrating!"

Daniel Radcliffe is best known for playing boy wizard Harry Potter, but there's something else he's getting a reputation for – taking off his clothes.
The actor, who shocked fans when he appeared naked on Broadway in Equus in 2008, has stripped down in three movies this year – and shared a bathtub with Jon Hamm on TV – but he told Ellen DeGeneres on Friday that his nude streak was "not intentional."
"I'm comfortable with it, but I do like to point out, I don't request it," he jokes.
