Daniel Radcliffe enjoys his privacy, and to help maintain it, he keeps away from social media and movie premieres for films that aren't his own.
"There's certain things you can make a lot easier on yourself," Radcliffe, 24, tells the U.K.'s Sky News. "If you don't, for instance, go to premieres that aren't [for] a film you're in, or don't just turn up at other events and stuff like that, then that's obviously gonna help to not fuel [interest]."
Radcliffe adds that when celebrities regularly divulge details of their lives on Twitter, it makes their requests for privacy seem less genuine.

The Harry Potter cast has come a long way since Hogwarts.
On Nov. 4, 2001, a very fresh-faced Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint hit the red carpet at London's Odeon theater for the world premiere of the franchise's first big-screen installment, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (released as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the U.S.).
Radcliffe, then 11, gushed about his excitement for the star-making role, telling PEOPLE, “My face and my stomach are vibrating!"

Daniel Radcliffe is best known for playing boy wizard Harry Potter, but there's something else he's getting a reputation for – taking off his clothes.
The actor, who shocked fans when he appeared naked on Broadway in Equus in 2008, has stripped down in three movies this year – and shared a bathtub with Jon Hamm on TV – but he told Ellen DeGeneres on Friday that his nude streak was "not intentional."
"I'm comfortable with it, but I do like to point out, I don't request it," he jokes.

Since when are baths so sexy?
After we were treated to a photo of Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe sharing a tub, Robert Pattinson has entered the fray in a new ad for Dior. But while these three are making waves, they're hardly the first hotties to strip down and dive in – to a tub.

At the end of the Harry Potter films, we got to see Daniel Radcliffe happily grown up with a family of his own. In the new mini-series, A Young Doctor's Notebook, Radcliffe faces his less congenial grown-up self head on in the form of Jon Hamm.
"I am the envy of every woman ever," Radcliffe, 23, told the Sun of playing a med school grad who's sent to run a hospital in an isolated Russian village in 1917 opposite the 42-year-old Mad Men star.
Only the relationship between the younger and older doctor isn't exactly friendly, and at one point the pair stare angrily at each other from opposite ends of a metal bath tub.

Daniel Radcliffe has babies on the brain.
Even though the former Harry Potter star, 23, doesn't know "when or who" he'll have a baby with, he insists he "definitely" wants to have kids.
"I'd like to get started on it before my thirties," he tells Time Out: London magazine in its issue coming out on June 4. "I like the idea of being a youngish parent so I've got energy to play football even though they'll be better than me by the time they're four."

Richard Griffiths, the well-spoken, rotund presence perhaps best known for playing Muggle guardian Vernon Dursley in the Harry Potter series – and who costarred again with Daniel Radcliffe in the stage drama Equus – died Thursday from complications after heart surgery at University Hospital in Coventry, central England, his agent announced Friday. He was 65.
"Richard was by my side during two of the most important moments of my career. I was proud to know him," Radcliffe said in a statement to the BBC.
Griffiths also won a Tony in 2006 for playing slightly wayward teacher Douglas Hector in Alan Bennett's The History Boys and was the outlandish Uncle Monty in the 1987 cult movie Withnail and I.

We're not in Hogwarts anymore.
Daniel Radcliffe made an unexpected appearance at Bootsy Bellows in West Hollywood on Friday night. Arriving with a male pal around 1:40 a.m., the Harry Potter star was "in party mode but really friendly," an onlooker tells PEOPLE.
Wearing a long-sleeved black shirt and jeans, the actor hung out at a table in the club's back VIP room, where he made himself vodka cocktails.
As DJ BeeFowl spun hit after hit, Radcliffe "started singing and dancing at the table to Nelly's 'Country Grammar' and 'Ride Wit Me'," the source adds. "He introduced himself to people at his table casually as 'Dan.' "

Having recently told Katie Couric during an interview that she does have a boyfriend, Jessica Chastain made what is apparently her first public appearance with him Friday night, at the Women in Film 6th annual Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party.
Arriving arm and arm together at Fig & Olive in Los Angeles, the Zero Dark Thirty Best Actress nominee and Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo sipped Perrier-Jouët Champagne in the main room before Chastain spotted her costar from last year's The Help, Viola Davis, and Davis's husband.
Chastain, 35, hugged and kissed the 31-year-old Passi, making it clear to all who saw them that the two are, in fact, a couple.
