Backstage at a July 13 Rock Star: Supernova party held at L.A.'s Roxy, Dave Navarro just wanted a little affection. "If someone was walking by, he'd say, 'I need a hug,' " says a source at the event, where the former Jane's Addiction guitarist performed with his new band, Camp Freddy. "It was a little weird, but the girls went with it."

Guitarist Dave Navarro bared his soul on 'Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave, last year's MTV series following his 2003 nuptials to Carmen Electra. Now off the hot seat, the former Jane's Addiction and Red Hot Chili Peppers axeman is kicking back by the pool and doling out advice as host (with Brooke Burke) of the CBS reality show Rock Star: INXS. He plays both critic and counselor to the singers vying to front the multiplatinum-selling Aussie band (whose vocalist, Michael Hutchence, died in an apparent suicide in 1997). PEOPLE recently caught up with Navarro, 37, who's been recording with his band The Panic Channel, and got the scoop on the rock competition.

Married life is treating Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro just fine, thank you very much. Things between the couple, who will celebrate their second anniversary Nov. 22, are "amazing, couldn't be better," Electra told us at a recent Maxim magazine party hosted by Sean "P. Diddy" Combs at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City. "Dave gets me and I get him. We just understand each other so well. He's really taught me a lot about being honest all the time. I can go away and work and focus on my career and know that my husband's got my back."

With news of the Brad Pitt-Jennifer Aniston split rocking Hollywood, we thought it would be a good moment to check in on some star relationships that are going well. Carmen Electra recently shared some of the details of her romantic holiday getaway with rocker-husband Dave Navarro. "We went to Santa Barbara to Bacara (Resort and Spa)," she revealed at the Volkswagen 2005 Jetta launch party at L.A. club The Lot. "It was supposed to be our honeymoon but it rained the whole time. So we're going to plan to go to an island, maybe go to Hawaii or something. But it was beautiful. It just rained. So we had a lot of spa time. We did a lot of treatments and massage and stuff like that. I love to get massaged. Dave's the opposite because he doesn't like to be touched. He was really bored but I had a great time. We didn't go anywhere. We watched movies and we stayed in the room. It was very romantic."
