Robert Pattinson Stars in Cosmopolis – A Misfire, Says PEOPLE's Critic
Originally posted 08/16/2012 05:00PM
I hate to kick a guy when he's down, but Robert Pattinson is in dire need of career counseling. Frankly, the man hasn't been in a good movie since Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and that includes this impenetrable forest of idiocy.
But he's not really the problem with Cosmopolis, a misfire from director David Cronenberg based on a novel by Don DeLillo.
Pattinson gamely tries to find his way as Eric Packer, a financial guru who takes his stretch limo on an odyssey across town to get a haircut.

Robert Pattinson: What Happens in My Pants Stays in My Pants
Originally posted 05/25/2012 11:00AM
Before director David Cronenberg's new movie about a young, rich financier, Cosmopolis, was unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival, its star, Robert Pattinson, did a little revelation of his own – though, apparently, not as much as his director had requested.
In an interview for Metro France that quickly got picked up around the festival, the Twilight star, 26, was quoted as saying, "Five minutes before we filmed, David told me, 'I want to see the bottom of your balls on the top of the frame.' At the moment, I reminded myself that I would do anything for him. So I went back to see him and told him that wouldn't happen."
And how did the filmmaker of The Fly, Scanner, Eastern Promises and A Dangerous Method react to his leading man's decision?
