David Spade Helps Phoenix Police Pay for Guns

David Spade can now check this off his Christmas list: 300 rifles.

The funnyman. 44, stopped by a police station in his former hometown of Phoenix on Monday morning to present a check for $100,000 toward the purchase of rifles for patrol officers, the police department says in a statement.

The donation helps fund a program being coordinated by Phoenix Police Chief and Public Safety Manager Jack Harris and Phoenix Law Enforcement Association President Officer Mark Spencer.

"Asking there be no fanfare or media attention, Mr. Spade called last week and said he wanted to donate $100,000 to the Phoenix Police Department towards the purchase of rifles to help keep our patrol officers and community safe," the statement says.

"This mutual agreement can now move ahead with momentum thanks to the generosity of Mr. Spade."

David Spade Proves a Partying Papa

Fatherhood is doing nothing to slow down David Spade.

Accompanied by two friends, a male and female, on Friday night, the funnyman, 45, arrived at The Kress early – around 10:30 – and held court in one of the private cabanas on the rooftop lounge, enjoying bottle service and skewers.

Later joined by other pals, as women continued to vie for his attention, Spade proved a crowd favorite. A group of females danced on a light post pole in front of his cabana as if it were a stripper pole.

The girls at the cabana next to them were big fans, as well. Toward the end of the evening Spade went and hung out in their cabana and even took photos with his new female admirers.

And though the new pop – Spade is the father of a baby girl born last month in Missouri to Playboy Playmate Jillian Grace – was in flirt mode, the guy left all by his lonesome a little after 12:30 in the morning.

David Spade Going to Be a Dad?

A Playboy Playmate says she is going to have a child by comic actor David Spade.

Miss March 2005 Jillian Grace, 22, claims she became pregnant while involved in a relationship with the 43-year-old, former Saturday Night Live and Just Shoot Me star, reports TMZ.com. She could not be reached for comment.

Spade, who in 2006 was briefly linked to Heather Locklear, tells TMZ: "I had a brief relationship with Jillian Grace. If it is true that I am the father of her child, then I will accept responsibility."
