A week after calling Charlie Sheen the "greatest ex," his former wife Denise Richards is speaking about her relationship with the Anger Management star.
"My situation with Charlie is that we've gotten along for quite some time now, and it's much better, I think," she told reporters at Corolle's Adopt-a-Doll Event in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Richards, 42, said that the former couple remain focused on their daughters, Lola, 7, and Sam, 9.

The knock on the front door of Charlie Sheen's troubled ex-wife Brooke Mueller's home came around 9 p.m. on May 2. Social workers from L.A.'s Department of Child and Family Services, alarmed by Mueller's erratic behavior in recent weeks, had arrived for one explicit reason: to take custody of her two 4-year-old twins, Bob and Max.
"It was a real mess," says a Sheen friend familiar with the incident.
But what happened next came to many as a shock.

Having been on the ground following devastating Hurricane Sandy, Denise Richards knows what you can do to help some of the 200 animals displaced by the disaster.
"People can donate any old towels or blankets for the animals where they're sleeping, any food, any toys," she says. "If they want to make a monetary donation, they can go on [North Shore Animal League's] website, or to your local shelter."
You can also make a more permanent contribution, like Richards did when she adopted rescue dog Lily from New York's North Shore Animal League, where the actress was lending a hand over the weekend.

She traveled to New York to talk about disaster relief after Hurricane Sandy, and Denise Richards ended up doing some serious relief of her own.
When the actress visited a North Shore Animal League America shelter in Long Island, N.Y., on Saturday to help spread the word about relief efforts in the area and encourage adoptions, she met one shelter resident and couldn't let go.
Richards adopted a black Labrador mix puppy, originally named Tara which she has since changed it to Lily.

Adopting a child into an already established family can be challenging. But for Denise Richards, adopting baby Eloise has been a seamless transition, thanks in large part to her daughters Sam and Lola.
"To be honest, I didn't want to involve them that early," she said of her 7- and 8-year-old daughters.
"But when you go through the adoption process you have to do a home study, and they have to talk to [your] children, and I didn't want to talk about it with the girls that early, because it was two years before the adoption came through," she said. "I wanted to keep it private, and in our family. I'm actually glad, because it turned out to be a good thing."

Lisa Rinna had no shortage of celebrity guests come out to celebrate her 49th birthday on Thursday night at her and hubby Harry Hamlin's Los Angeles home.
Joined by her usual group of gal pals – including Denise Richards, Maria Menounos, Nancy O'Dell, Holly Robinson Peete, Garcelle Beauvais and Angelina Jolie's stylist Jen Rade – Rinna treated her 30 attendees to a Mexican-themed fiesta produced by Good Carma Studio in her backyard.
Kitchit chef Meg Hall was on hand to present a generous menu, which included shrimp and guacamole tostadas, chorizo-stuffed squash blossoms, shishito peppers and key lime pie shooters.
"Lisa's daughters and dog were in the kitchen a lot," a source tells PEOPLE. "There were some special items made for her daughter Amelia, [who doesn't eat gluten]. The kitchen was the gathering spot for most of the other guests, too. Garcelle and Denise were in there most of the evening, chatting about their kids."
