But she hasn't done the Times Square ball-dropping thing – until now.
Getting a (very) early jump on its New Year's plans, ABC announced that Lady Gaga will perform in Times Square on the 40th anniversary version of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2012.
Rockin' Eve will also feature performances from the West Coast, with Fergie once again hosting in Los Angeles.

It may be on past her bedtime, but that's not going to stop Hollywood prodigy Willow Smith from whipping her hair at Dick Clark's annual New Year's Eve bash.
Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve has revealed its top guests to PEOPLE, and they include La Roux, Ne-Yo and Natasha Bedingfield, in addition to Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's 10-year-old daughter.
Millions tune in every year to watch the iconic ball drop. Clark, 81, has served as producer and host of the ABC broadcast nearly every New Year's Eve since 1972.

New Year's Eve was a coming out party for TV legend Dick Clark. ABC's New Year's Rockin' Eve, which Clark has been producing and hosting since 1972, marked the 76-year-old's first TV appearance since he was felled by a stroke in late 2004 that caused him to miss last year's show.

"This season, the singers were better, but I don't think I could sit through a performance" of the tour, Jackson, 47, tells us.
