"I sincerely apologize for my thoughtless insensitive remarks. I in no way meant to hurt or demean those going through a similar journey," Bell Tweeted Thursday.

When Caitlyn Jenner (formerly known as Bruce Jenner) revealed her true self via a stunning series of photographs shot by Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair, "#CallMeCaitlyn" and "Caitlyn Jenner" began trending immediately as her fans and family alike came out in droves to support her transition.
However, support was not necessarily the unanimous reaction. Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell was met with animosity on social media after he Tweeted on Monday, "Sorry...still calling you Bruce" in response to Jenner's Vanity Fair cover story reveal.

After a season of surprises, spills and plenty of spandex, Splash came to an end Tuesday night.
The three finalists – Nicole Eggert, Rory Bushfield and Drake Bell – couldn't be more different from one another. Eggert, 41, surprised herself and viewers with her performance, even joking to PEOPLE that she missed her "calling" as an athlete. Bushfield, 29, a professional extreme skier, has predictably done well on the show, but ruptured an eardrum while training. And Bell, 26, has seriously impressed the judges (and diving great Greg Louganis) with his athletic prowess.
So who came out on top in the reality competition finale? Read on to find out …
