E L James, the author of the best selling franchise Fifty Shades of Grey, has remained tight-lipped about the upcoming film adaptation – until now.
On Wednesday, James, 50, revealed on Twitter that the movie had finally found its director.
"I'm delighted & thrilled to let you guys know that Sam Taylor-Johnson has agreed to direct the film of Fifty Shades of Grey," James Tweeted.

Not gonna happen.
This is the pushback from Emma Watson, who has taken to Twitter to refute rumors that flamed up over this past weekend that she has been cast as the gorgeous but corruptible Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of E L James's Fifty Shades of Gray.
"Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Gray as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life," Tweeted Watson of the erotic role.

Even with last year's runaway success, 2013 is already shaping up to be a 50 Shades of Grey kind of year.
A feature film based on the sexually charged book, which has sold 65 million copies around the world, is in the works for this year. And a musical spoof of the book, 50 Shades! The Musical, will open at New York City's Gramercy Theater on Friday, the New York Post reports.
The stage version is heavy with innuendo but scarce on nudity, unlike the book, which has drawn high praise and vicious criticism as "mommy porn" for its frank description of the bondage tinged relationship between Anastasia Steele, a student, and Christian Grey, her billionaire sexual provocateur.

Barbara Walters's annual 10 most fascinating list always features an eclectic mix of captivating people – and this year is no different.
The special, which aired Wednesday night, highlighted the achievements and antics that kept fans enthralled. Among Walters's picks were Ben Affleck, who won critical acclaim for his political thriller Argo; Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas; Prince Harry; and even pint-sized beauty pageant star Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson.
And her top pick as the Most Fascinating Person of 2012? Gen. David Petraeus, the decorated U.S. military hero and director disgraced by an affair that forced his resignation as director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Think Ryan Gosling is the perfect choice to play Christian Grey in the upcoming film adaption of Fifty Shades of Grey? According to reports, so does author E L James's husband Niall Leonard – and the sexy actor may just be the frontrunner for the role.
So, what does author E L James think about Gosling's supposed casting?
"As usual, it's all been misreported," she recently told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show. "No, my husband has not spilled the beans."
Explains James: "What happened is that his local paper ... reported on my husband being the inspiration for Christian Grey," she tells Seacrest. "Underneath it, they put a picture of Ryan Gosling as well. So, that's how that [rumor] came about."

Fifty Shades of Grey author E L James is a far cry from the sultry characters she's created in her best-selling novels.
For a woman whose trilogy introduced the controversial BDSM (bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism) lifestyle to much of the nation, the married mother of two is surprisingly mum. When asked about the sexual relationship that made the Fifty Shades series bedroom fodder for many at Monday's "Fifty Shades of Grey: The Classical Album" event at Manhattan's Soho House, James politely declined.
"I don't want to comment on that," she told Alicia Quarles of E! News.

Could there be too much to know about Robert Pattinson?
Consider what he said Thursday at Comic-Con while promoting Breaking Dawn: Part 2.
When questioned, he and Kristen Stewart were mum on whether or not they've been reading E.L. James's sex-filled bestseller, 50 Shades of Grey – but the Twilight actor knows what he would do if the risqué read was right in front of him.
"I would just sit there and lick the pages," Pattinson, 26, told MTV's Josh Horowitz with a laugh on Thursday during an interview at the fest in San Diego, adding, "What are we live on?" – as he realized his silly response would gain attention.
Stewart, 22, on the other hand, was less upbeat about the topic.
When asked if she reads the novel in a book club with Pattinson and fellow Twilight star Taylor Lautner, she said simply, "That would be disgusting."

EL James teared up as she took in the screams of more than 1,000 women from across Connecticut – and beyond – who paid $25 each to see her at a New Haven hotel Wednesday night.
"I'm pretty impressed by this turnout," the emotional Fifty Shades of Grey author told the event host, R.J. Julia Booksellers owner Roxanne Coady. "This is really f–––ing phenomenal. I didn't foresee this at all."
The audience on this latest stop of James's book tour included women of all ages, shapes, sizes and relationship status. And they didn't hold back with their personal questions for the author, whose books are holding firm at number one, two and three on the bestseller list.
One of the more bold questions: How did James's husband react to seeing her sexual fantasies on paper?

E L James may be a self-professed "control freak" about the process of bringing her erotic trilogy to movie theaters. But the author may want to take note of her rabid fan base – and just which actor they envision on the big screen.
The not-safe-for-work novel Fifty Shades of Grey is sitting pretty atop multiple best-seller lists, and women everywhere are talking about its protagonist, Anastasia Steele, and her troubled, controlling man, 27-year-old multi-millionaire Christian Grey. And after a Da Vinci Code-esque bidding war, Universal Studios and Focus Features came out on top and will release the film adaptation.
While Christian Bale (circa American Psycho) and Michael Fassbender (of Shame fame) immediately come to mind (as do Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, for obvious reasons), PEOPLE.com readers – and our staff! – also had plenty of suggestions.
Which actor could best embody the young and "very attractive," tall, finely dressed character with "unruly dark-copper-colored hair and intense, bright gray eyes"?

"I really like clever men who challenge you," says the Fifty Shades of Grey author – and she's not even referring to her erotic novels' main character, Christian Grey.
In her exclusive interview with EW.com, the woman who writes under the pseudonym E L James is actually referring to Jeb Brody, Focus Features president of production, whose sense of humor helped convince her to sell the movie rights of her trilogy to Universal Studios and Focus Features.
The price tag? About $5 million, reportedly, to bring the not-safe-for-work saga that's easily the hottest book around to the big screen, a feat every major studio in Hollywood seemed to want to take on.
