It's official now.
Author E L James has confirmed previous reports that Jamie Dornan is set to play Christian Grey in the film adaptation of her erotic best-selling book Fifty Shades of Grey.
The author Tweeted her excitement Thursday, writing: "Stow your twitchy palms ladies…our man is here. Welcome to #TeamFifty @JamieDornan1."

Charlie Hunnam doesn't seem too upset about exiting Fifty Shades of Grey.
The same day Universal Pictures and Focus Features released a joint statement that the Sons of Anarchy actor and the "filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey ... have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam's immersive TV schedule," he served as the best man in a friend's wedding.
Hunnam, 33, "seemed in really good spirits and spent time with his closest friends and his girlfriend," a source tells PEOPLE. He gave a sentimental toast and longtime girlfriend Morgana McNelis caught the bouquet.

Melanie Griffith is 50 shades of delighted!
The actress spoke out Monday of her joy after author E L James revealed that Griffith and Don Johnson's daughter Dakota Johnson has been cast as Anastasia in the movie version of Fifty Shades of Grey.
"My beautiful child Dakota has been chosen to play Anna Steele in 50 Shades," Griffith, 56, wrote on Twitter. "Look out world! Here she comes!!! #proudmama."

James earned an estimated $95 million from her kinky tale of romance between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele – which was originally written as fan fiction based on Twilight's vampire characters. (We hope James is sending Twilight author Stephenie Meyer a huge thank-you present.)

On Wednesday, James, 50, revealed on Twitter that the movie had finally found its director.
