Mindy Kaling is one confident lady!
The poised star of The Mindy Project looked pretty in pink on Wednesday as she stood in front a huge room full of people and admitted, "I love praise."
Conducting the opening statements at The Hollywood Reporter's annual Women in Entertainment breakfast, which honored Diane Keaton, Kaling said praising the Academy Award-winning actress "is enjoyable because she is so self-deprecating. She literally invented the art of gracefully deflecting praise. I could learn something from her."

Peeta blazed the trail, and now it's catching fire.
Following in the footsteps of their Hunger Games costar Josh Hutcherson, Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson and Elizabeth Banks ditched the dystopian universe for some time with dolphins.
During three separate visits to Atlanta's Georgia Aquarium last month, the actors, in town filming Hunger Games: Catching Fire, were treated to exclusive meet-and-greets with marine mammals.
On Oct. 14, Lawrence donned a wetsuit to swim with whale sharks, manta rays and zebra sharks at the Journey with Gentle Giants exhibit. While she was instructed not to touch the creatures, she swam the perimeter and got up close and personal with several whale sharks.

Elizabeth Banks made a new pal recently.
The Hunger Games star met Andrew Garfield when she attended KCRW radio's intimate Regina Spektor show at a private venue in Los Angeles.
"Elizabeth introduced herself to Andrew at the end of the show," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "They shook hands and talked for a bit."
According to the observer, the two stars were delights to have on the premises.
"There were some young girls in the audience and a couple of them went up to Andrew to say hi, and he was incredibly sweet to them," the source says. "Elizabeth was sweet, too. She met [two young girls] and couldn't have been nicer."

It was all about the ladies for Elizabeth Banks on Thursday night.
The Hunger Games star took in a relaxing evening filled with fashion at an intimate Dannijo and Tucker Tea event at a private home in Beverly Hills.
Joined by pals Maria Menounos and Minnie Driver, the trio "sipped on wine and tried on jewels and clothing all throughout the night," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "Everyone was in good spirits. It was a very lighthearted, mellow evening."
Mandy Moore, Kathleen Robertson, Dita Von Teese, Whitney Port, Jordana Brewster and Judy Greer were also among the women in attendance who hung out poolside at the early evening fte.
This was a busy week for Driver, who just one day earlier, hosted an Olympics-themed private dinner event in Beverly Hills with Beefeater Gin, in honor of her British roots.

So much for a lazy summer day.
While marking Memorial Day (and the unofficial start of the season!) with her son, Felix, Elizabeth Banks wasn't taking advantage of her time off.
"Doesn't my kid realize it's a holiday and he can sleep in?" the Hunger Games actress, 38, who welcomed her little one in 2011 via a surrogate, Tweeted Monday. "Dude, it's Memorial Day. Chill out and re-laxxxx. #babies."

It's the pink hair that did it.
For Elizabeth Banks, playing Effie Trinket in the upcoming screen version of The Hunger Games first clicked into place thanks to the character's signature cotton-candy coif.
"I would be in the hair and makeup trailer and I was Elizabeth, and then the wig went on and very suddenly I was Effie," says Banks, 37. "Every day I would have that aha moment, like, 'We did it! We found Effie!' "
In the best-selling The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins, Effie serves as a publicity agent of sorts for the Games, a cruel arena battle that pits youths, called "tributes," against each other in a televised fight to the death. The movie opens March 23.
