Hey, everyone! I can honestly say that this episode had some of my very favorite dates!
I've lived in Charlotte for a long time, but I never in a million years imagined I'd be climbing the wall of a museum that Ricki and I go to often. Judging by Chris's face when the ropes came down the side of the building, I think he would've rather been at my house carrying in all my groceries like Ryan did last week!
As scary as it was climbing up the side of the building, the fact that there was a huge storm heading our way made it that much worse. Not only was I scared of falling, but also of getting struck by lightening!

Shortly after depositing his sappy wish in the Love Clock at the Greenbrier in W.Va., Joe Gendreau's time to impress The Bachelorette's Emily Maynard had run out.
Reflecting on his short stint and love non-connection during a conference call from Orlando, the quality control advisor, 27, had this to say.
That date rose just sits and stares at you. Did it affect your game plan or stress you out?
I tried to keep the rose out of mind. I didn't want to look at it as a challenge and be like, "I really want that rose." I wanted to see how my time was with her and entertain the idea of being able to hit it off with her. It was a great time. I thought it was going well, but ultimately didn't work out.

First of all, let me start by saying I hope you all enjoyed watching the dates on The Bachelorette this week as much as I loved being on them!
I don't have any clue what I did to deserve this many great guys, but to say I'm thankful is an understatement. I especially love that I was able to get some of the guys out of the house and show them around the beautiful city of Charlotte. Most of them had never been here before and had no clue there was this much going on!
From the very first night I knew Ryan was someone that I would really get along with and couldn't wait to spend more time with him. Now I know he was probably expecting some crazy, fabulous, over-the-top date and to be honest, I was worried about telling him what we were actually going to be doing.

Emily Maynard would not reveal if she found a fiancé while filming The Bachelorette during a conference call with reporters Wednesday, but the Charlotte. N.C., sweetheart did tease that she "was happy before the show, but really happy now."
"I had a million reservations and I said no to anybody who would listen. But time went on, we started talking again, and they were so accommodating that it was [too] great an opportunity to pass up," the 26-year-old single mom explained.
"I had a great group of guys. I had the time of my life and learned so much about myself. It was the best experience getting to travel and to give Ricki the opportunity to see things she wouldn't have otherwise."

First of all, I can't even begin to say how grateful and blessed I feel to be The Bachelorette. It's still hard for me to wrap my head around the entire idea and I just hope I can do as good of a job as the ladies who have held this honor in the past.
It was a big decision to come back. And to be honest, I didn't know if I wanted to put myself through all of this again. I was in love with Brad and what we had was very real and true, but when things didn't work out with him, I was reminded that sometimes when people grow they grow apart. I never want that to happen to me again and it is scary to try to find love in the same way that it had fallen apart for me not that long ago.
I can't tell you how many times I said no, but I know that God allows us to meet people at the right time and I just hope more than anything that this is the right time for me. I put a lot of pressure on myself to make it work this time because I've been in this situation before and in a way feel as though I've already had my chance. I'm so lucky to be here again and promise it's going to be a great season!

The wait is almost over!
Sweet single mom Emily Maynard will make her debut as The Bachelorette on Monday night and it sounds like this season may be the most exciting one yet.
"I had the best time being The Bachelorette and I can't wait to share my experience with you on Monday night!" Maynard, 26, tells PEOPLE.
But like anyone who's meeting someone (potentially) special for the first time, Maynard had first-night jitters.

This season of The Bachelorette promises to be a bit more sophisticated than past seasons thanks to down-to-earth mom Emily Maynard.
Instead of shots and hot-tub make-out scenes, expect more traditional romance for the single mom of a 6-year-old daughter. "Her being a single mom definitely changed the tone," Bachelorette host Chris Harrison tells PEOPLE.
Still, expect at least a few drinks to continue to flow – on the show and at viewing parties! – as Maynard, 26, meets a bevvy of eager suitors.

It may be the eighth season of The Bachelorette, but host Chris Harrison swears that Emily Maynard's quest to find love via reality TV – which premieres Monday on ABC – "is drastically different and much deeper from anything we've ever done."

It's off to the roses!
Emily Maynard's official portrait for her upcoming season of The Bachelorette has been revealed exclusively to PEOPLE.
Maynard, 26, whom Brad Womack chose as the winner on his season of The Bachelor, has said she's "scared to death" about looking for love on television again.
Last June, she and Womack announced they had called off their engagement.

Sorry ladies, but Tim Tebow won't be fantasy dating or finding his soul mate on The Bachelor.
The Denver Broncos quarterback dispelled any rumors of his potential TV gig with a good-humored post on Twitter, including a shout out to former Bachelor Jesse Palmer.
"Haha rumors can be crazy! Even though I've watched the show before, I'm definitely not gonna be on the Bachelor. #JessePalmer," wrote Tebow, 24.
