Emily Maynard: I'll Take Jef's Last Name
Originally posted 07/26/2012 12:10PM
She got engaged in the most modern way imaginable – on TV. But deep down, Emily Maynard says she's old-fashioned, and she plans to take Jef Holm's last name when they get married.
"Even though I went on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, I'm pretty traditional, believe it or not. So, yeah, for sure," she says of one day becoming Emily Holm.
However, speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show, Maynard and Holm couldn't say exactly when that wedding might happen.

I can't believe my time on The Bachelorette is finally over and I can tell everyone about the amazing man I get to call my fiancé!
Getting to share our love story with you all this season and reliving the proposal yesterday reminds me of how blessed I am to have found my best friend and partner in crime, Jef Holm.
Jef and I have been looking forward to this day for so long and are so excited to start our lives together. I've always believed in great love and hoped I'd find it one day. However, I had no idea a love like this even existed!

Emily Maynard: 'I Found the Perfect Man'
Originally posted 07/23/2012 11:30AM
At Sunday night's live After the Final Rose special, The Bachelorette's Emily Maynard and her new fiancé, Jef Holm, couldn't wait to declare their love for each other.
"I found the perfect man," said Maynard, who became engaged on the show's season 8 finale. Maynard beamed as she clutched Holm's hand. "He's my best friend."
"I love her to death," Holm gushed.
While some viewers were shocked and saddened to see Maynard's tearful goodbye to racecar driver Arie Luyendyk on the season finale, host Chris Harrison says it was clear to him that the North Carolina single mom's connection to Utah entrepreneur Holm was undeniably stronger.

Chris Harrison Promises Most 'Unpredictable' Bachelorette Finale Ever
Originally posted 07/22/2012 04:45PM
All The Bachelorette finales are emotional and dramatic, but host Chris Harrison promises that Sunday's Emily Maynard season closer is the only one he'd describe as "unpredictable and combustible."
"We've never had a horse race like this where any of the final three could have ended up with her and the decision was so down to the wire. It made her an emotional wreck," Harrison tells PEOPLE exclusively.
"Emily was more conflicted about the final two than any bachelor or bachelorette we've ever had. The guys were head over heels for her and she felt so strongly for both of them and that combination made for a very intense final week that could go either way."

Men Tell All: Get the Behind the Scenes Scoop
Originally posted 07/17/2012 10:30AM
While host Chris Harrison calls the Men Tell All specials a rite of passage, Emily Maynard thought last week's taping in Hollywood was "a form of unusual punishment."
"It's torture to make a girl walk into a room full of her ex-boyfriends in ridiculously high heels and an obscenely tight dress, let them ask whatever questions they want and then tape it for national TV," the Bachelorette star told PEOPLE. "Even though I had the best group of guys in the history of the show, I'm glad it's over."
And that's coming from a woman who had to endure less than an hour of the four-plus it took to dissect yet another dramatic season of the ABC show. As always, plenty of fireworks were cut for time, but PEOPLE brings you the best of what you didn't see:

The Bachelorette's Emily Maynard Blogs About Men Tell All
Originally posted 07/17/2012 08:50AM
In what lifetime should any girl have to face a room full of her ex-boyfriends? One of the many perks of being The Bachelorette, I guess! Lucky for me though, I have the best group of guys, and they took it easy on me – for the most part.
I hadn't seen any of the guys since I sent them home, so I was beyond nervous! The hardest to see was definitely Sean, because I didn't feel like we had much closure, and it was really important to me that he knew that everything I felt was 100 percent real for me.
I am so happy that Sean is in a great place now and looks back on our time together fondly. I feel the same.

Booted Bachelorette Contestant: I Thought I Was Going to Marry Emily Maynard
Originally posted 07/11/2012 10:00AM
After he braved public speaking in the Hyde Park, searched the streets of Prague to steal extra time – and kisses – and worked up the courage to declare his love for Bachelorette Emily Maynard in Curacao, Sean Lowe was sent home sans rose in a final-three shocker.
PEOPLE caught up with the Dallas insurance agent, 28, at last weekend's Men Tell All reunion taping, where he admitted it was "a little weird and awkward to see Emily again," because "it transported me back to a very sad moment in my life." Still, he was able to reflect.

The Bachelorette: Emily Maynard Blogs About Fantasy-Suite Anxiety
Originally posted 07/10/2012 08:45AM
I swear I was anxious thinking about fantasy-suite dates even before agreeing to be on The Bachelorette. On the one hand, it's great because you get that extra time to talk with the final three guys away from the cameras.
But on the flip side I know what "fantasy" is implying, and I'm not totally comfortable with that. I also feel like my relationships have been so honest and real that there was really nothing they could have told me overnight that would've changed my mind.
I started my week with Sean and, as excited as I was, I wasn't really sure how he was feeling. He's been open about his past, but not as much about his feelings for me. Because I'm feeling so much, that really scared me. The fact that he was with someone for three years, but still dodged the marriage conversation, made me worry.
I always felt like there was a wall between us. However, at dinner Sean's letter to Ricki blew my mind. I had no idea he was feeling all of those things and in that moment I really did want those things with Sean, too. I left my date feeling like all my questions had been answered and that he very well could've been my husband one day.

The Bachelorette: Who Should Be The Final Two?
Originally posted 07/09/2012 02:30PM
It's decision time!
Emily Maynard has narrowed her field of prospective suitors down to three: Jef, Sean and Arie. And it doesn't look like she'll have an easy time with letting one guy go on Monday night's episode of The Bachelorette.
The foursome travel to the island of Curacao, where Maynard raves about Sean on camera. "Sean does a million things a day to tell me that he's the one for me," she says in an exclusive preview of the new episode. "But I need to know more. I can't go through this and fall in love and have it not work again."
