Sorry birthday boy! It may have been David Beckham's big night on Saturday, but an unexpected mini-reunion of his wife Victoria Beckham's former pop group, the Spice Girls, definitely stole the spotlight

Things got a little bit spicy at Victoria Beckham's birthday celebration over the weekend.
Beckham, who turned 40 on April 17, reunited with three of her fellow Spice Girls alumni as she marked the milestone Sunday night at London's Arts Club.
Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) joined their Posh bandmate (with husband David Beckham) for the festivities, which were also attended by Chris Martin and Guy Ritchie, reports the U.K.'s Daily Mail. (Noticeably absent: Scary Spice Melanie Brown.)

Though they reunited for a rousing performance at the 2012 Olympics closing ceremonies, one member of the Spice Girls says she won't be there for any future reunions of the '90s girl group. As Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham told Vogue Paris recently, "the passion just wasn't there."
But, similar to the cast of Friends, it turns out Photoshop can do what the real world can't: bring all five Spice Girls back to a time when girl power and friendship conquered all. Like they once sang, "If you wanna be my 'shopper, you gotta 'shop with my friends." (OK, those weren't the exact lyrics, but you know where we're going with this.)

It was a sad day for Emma Bunton, whose search for her lost dog has come to a dismal end.
Without delving into details, she took to Twitter to thank those who reached out when she announced earlier this week that her and fiancé Jade Jones' chocolate Labrador Phoebe went missing on a daily walk.
"To all the amazing people who supported us at this horrible time, our precious Phoebe has been found and it's terrible news," the Spice Girl, 37, Tweeted Wednesday. "We are devastated."

Emma Bunton's dog is missing – and she needs more than just Girl Power to get her back.
"My gorgeous brown Labrador went missing on daily walk," the Spice Girl Tweeted on Monday. "She will be so scared please look out around East Barnet, Hadley Wood, Trent Park [areas of London]."
The pooch, named Phoebe, is micro-chipped and described by Bunton as "gentle."
The dog's disappearance has left the singer "in bits," she Tweeted later. "Thank you for all your reassuring messages! Please keep looking."

The London Olympics came to a close Sunday with a star-studded ceremony full of music, dance and fashion – and a dash of Spice.
After 16 days of awe-inspiring athletics, the Closing Ceremony seemed more like a music festival than a farewell.

The Olympics are about to get extra Sporty.
As the London Games come to a close after two weeks of gold-medal triumphs and crushing disappointments, the Spice Girls are set to perform at the Sunday finale.
"If the opening ceremony was the wedding, then we're the wedding reception," music director David Arnold tells the Daily Telegraph.
Also expected to perform in the show, which will include British hits from the past five decades: The Who, George Michael, Muse, the Pet Shop Boys and Annie Lennox.
