Emma Stone might not see dead people – but she does rely on one of them for change.
Or so the Magic in the Moonlight actress told David Letterman Wednesday night during a Late Show appearance that sweetly, yet strangely, touched upon her interactions with the beyond.
Stone, 25, who plays a fake medium/mind reader in the new Woody Allen romantic comedy, told the retiring late-night host that her long-deceased grandfather brings her and other family members quarters.

Here's some definitive proof that Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are the ultimate power couple: Other Hollywood power couples are copying them.
Anne Hathaway and husband Adam Shulman borrowed a page straight out of the Amazing Spider-Man couple's playbook when they were photographed on the 4th of July holding signs in front of their faces.
After all, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery – and, in this case, kindness: Like Stone and Garfield, the couple hid from the paparazzi for a good cause by highlighting some of their favorite charity websites as they walked their dogs around Brooklyn.
"Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield had a great idea! Please check out: www.girleffect.org [organization empowering adolescent women], www.feedingamerica.org [domestic hunger-relief charity], www.worldofchildren.org [advocate for children's issues]," read 31-year-old Hathaway's handwritten note.

[YOUTUBE "imW392e6XR0"] Jimmy Kimmel brought back his fantastic Celebrities Read Mean Tweets About Themselves segment Wednesday night, with a shocking twist. This time, a surprising number of the mean Tweets were actually ... good?
Sure, there were the requisite amounts of unfathomable abuse – why does Andy Garcia, of all people, have haters? – and impenetrable obscenities (particularly the ones aimed at Matthew McConaughey). But other Tweets showed a heretofore-unobserved level of wit that made their targets suppress a chuckle. Even David Blaine thought that David Blaine joke was pretty solid!
