Eva Longoria Parker Expands Her Restaurant Business – to Vegas

Eva Longoria Parker is heading to Las Vegas!
The Desperate Housewives star – who besides filming the Emmy-winning ABC show is also national spokesperson for the Padres Contra El Cancer charity and one of the faces of L'Oreal – is opening her second restaurant Beso Vegas.
Describing herself as "so excited about opening Beso Vegas," the actress, 34, tells PEOPLE, "Vegas has the most energy in the world. It's a foodie city, which is great for us because of our menu. Everything we offer is pretty unique. Nobody in Vegas has anything similar."
Beso Vegas will officially open its doors on New Year's Eve 2010 with an exclusive event hosted by Longoria Parker.

Eva Longoria Parker Dishing Up Guacamole for Charity

Eva Longoria Parker may play a desperate housewife on TV, but the actress is not afraid to put on an apron for a good cause in real life.
Longoria Parker donated a catered dinner – and some tableside service of her own – for an auction to raise money for the New York Rescue Workers Detox Project at her restaurant Beso in Hollywood on Thursday.
During the live auction, she hopped up onstage to encourage the audience, including stars such as Bradley Cooper, to bid on her donated in-home dinner for 12 courtesy of Beso. Then she decided to throw in a personal appearance, in which she'll wear an apron and make tableside guacamole. As if it needed anything more, she sweetened the deal by including two tickets to a Spurs/Lakers playoff game, and a Tony Parker jersey. The package sold for $37,500.

The Desperate Housewives star ordered extra-spicy tuna with crispy rice, along with yellowtail sashimi, among other dishes. On the way out, they stopped by the bar to check out a basketball game on television.

Tony Parker Buys French Basketball Club

In these hard economic times, it's never too early to begin thinking about your retirement.
Take Tony Parker, for example, age 26.
The NBA All-Star has just bought himself a nice little retirement
package: a French basketball team. In an interview aired on France's Infosport cable network, Parker announced his purchase of the second largest share of ASVEL, France's most titled professional basketball team, and he will, he says, begin serving immediately as the club's Director of Operations.
Not to mention long-range plans to return to his native country with wife Eva Longoria.
"Why not, why not ?" Parker answered, when asked if playing for the
French club itself was in his plans. "When I'm 36, 37 years old, who knows how my NBA will go. Why not play one more farewell year in France afterwards? I've raised the subject with Eva, and she has nothing against living in France."

Golden Globes: The Star Line-up Grows

More A-Listers have been confirmed to present awards at the already star-studded Golden Globes Sunday night.
Johnny Depp, David Duchovny, Megan Fox, Eva Longoria, Sting, Sean Combs and Mark Wahlberg will also be on hand, it was announced Friday.
Other previously announced presenters include Simon Baker, Drew Barrymore, Pierce Brosnan, Sandra Bullock, Gerard Butler, Glenn Close, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cameron Diaz, Aaron Eckhart, Zac Efron, Laurence Fishburne, Ricky Gervais, Jake Gyllenhaal, Salma Hayek, The Jonas Brothers, Jessica Lange, Blake Lively, Jennifer Lopez, Hayden Panettiere, Chris Pine, Amy Poehler, Zachary Quinto, Seth Rogen and Martin Scorsese.
Steven Spielberg will receive this year's Cecil B. DeMille Award from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for his "outstanding
contribution to the entertainment field."
The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be telecast live on NBC Jan. 11 from The Beverly Hilton at 8 p.m.
