Eva Mendes knows exactly why people think she might be expecting with her longtime beau Ryan Gosling.
"It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know, those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy," Mendes explained to Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
"They basically see you naked, right?" said Mendes. "And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out. I always ask for a personal pat-down. I don't mean in person, I meant in private because they can take you. Ladies, I want you to know that they can take you in private, they can take you into an area."
"Good idea. Good idea. That's the way to get a Valentine," DeGeneres joked. "Even better, you can go to an area."

Devoted son, quirky leading man – and everyone's favorite fantasy boyfriend.
But how does Ryan Gosling stack up in his real-life romance with actress Eva Mendes?
The "hey girl" Internet obsession, 32, "is an incredibly sweet boyfriend," a Gosling source tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story. He and Mendes, 37, "get along so well because she's not needy or smothering," says another insider. "They just work."
Mendes is hardly the only one to fall under Gosling's spell. The former Mouseketeer – who brought his mom, Donna, as his date to the Jan. 7 Gangster Squad premiere in L.A. – is "funny and charming," says the film's director, Ruben Fleischer.

There are three things most people are very opinionated about: religion, politics and who has the finest, fittest female body in film.
For those of you who read my blog last week, I presented a list of the fittest male physiques in movie history. Some agreed, some didn't. But my list of women must be handled with a bit more finesse.
First, what defines the "best" female film body?

Olivia Wilde is on a mission to ensure that women across the world have the same basic needs met that many take for granted.

The problem with most people's attempts at weight loss is that they stop eating foods they enjoy and force themselves to eat kelp, kale and kippers.
While some of you may actually enjoy these foods, most of us miss the gooey cheese, tangy tomato and crunchy crust of a nice pizza.
The truth is, you CAN have your cake and eat it, too! Well, maybe not cake, but many other of your classic favorites can be slightly modified to keep you more than content, thus keeping your cravings at bay and helping you stay on the path of good nutrition (and a shrinking waistline).
I've been tricking my clients for years by giving them what they want while having them lose weight at the same time.
Here are three "healthy" versions of my favorite cheat meals that are all under 350 calories, high in fiber and protein (the duo that makes you feel fuller longer) and BIG on taste.

With a visit to Sierra Leone, Eva Mendes is helping raise awareness about serious issues affecting girls and women around the world.
Based on the best-selling book by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, the new series Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide introduces Mendes and other stars, including America Ferrera, Diane Lane, Meg Ryan, Gabrielle Union and Olivia Wilde to women and girls living under difficult circumstances, ranging from maternal death to prostitution.
Mendes, 38, kicks off the four-hour series – airing Oct. 1 and 2 at 9 p.m. ET on PBS – with her visit to Sierra Leone, where she meets with activist Amie Kandeh, a survivor of gender-based violence working with the International Rescue Committee to help other survivors toward safe, productive futures.
