It's official. Garth Brooks is hitting the road once again.

In what is certain to delight millions of his music fans, the country superstar, 51, announced his latest world tour in an appearance Monday on Good Morning America.

"Our baby is a senior in high school. We talked about it, all my babies are fine with it. Miss [Trisha] Yearwood is fine with it. So now I get to do what I love to do, which is play music," Brooks told the show's host Robin Roberts of winning his country-star wife and his three daughters' approval for a return to touring.

Both on- and offstage, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are in perfect harmony.

Brooks, 51, stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show Friday to chat about his wife of eight years, with whom he recorded a remake of "After the Fire Is Gone" – one of a handful of songs featured on his new box set, which just hit stores.

During the sit-down, the country crooner recounted first meeting Yearwood back in 1987 – he was already married to his college love Sandy Mahl then – and according to Brooks, his connection with Yearwood was immediate.

Garth Brooks is a granddaddy.

The country music superstar acknowledged in a statement Friday the birth of his first grandchild, Karalynn, who was born to his daughter August earlier this week.

The 51-year-old "Friends in Low Places" singer says he'd like to thank everyone "for their warm wishes and sweet celebration of Baby K's arrival."

Country music's best-selling performer has been in semi-retirement as he raises his daughters in Oklahoma. He'll have another girl around the house now. August was the second to graduate from high school and Brooks says he's considering a full-time return to recording and performing when his youngest, Allie, graduates from high school next year.

Oklahoma's star contingent is showing its love for the victims of the recent deadly tornado that killed 24 people and injured 240.

Among the many generous showbiz names is Carrie Underwood, who on Thursday announced a $1 million donation to the Red Cross from her "Blown Away" tour's concert receipts.

"I have watched the devastation in my home state of Oklahoma over the past several days with great sadness," Underwood said in a statement. "With the help of my fans who attended my concerts over the past year, we can offer the Red Cross a little extra help in comforting those affected by the recent tornados."
