Julianne Hough Gives Gavin DeGraw a Lap Dance During a DWTS Night Out
Originally posted 08/21/2012 06:00AM
A handful of Dancing with the Stars alums and pros acted like one big, happy family on Sunday night.
Julianne Hough, Derek Hough, Chelsie Hightower and Ricki Lake joined Karina Smirnoff to support her former partner Gavin DeGraw at his concert at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
"At @GavinDeGraw concert with the gang!" Smirnoff Tweeted, along with a photo of the group. "Woo hoo!"
Following the show, the gang made their way to the Living Room Lounge at the W Hollywood for the hotel's popular Sunday Jazz Series, where Kenny G, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Lucy Hale and fellow former DWTS contestant Michael Bolton were all on hand as well.
"Julianne gave Gavin a lap dance," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "It was in front of her brother and their whole DWTS crowd!"

Gavin DeGraw Loofahs a Rhino

Gavin DeGraw came to ABQ BioPark Zoo in Albuquerque, N.M., to perform his hits – but couldn't leave without monkeying around.
While in town Wednesday for a gig with Colbie Caillat, the singer and Dancing With the Stars alum shared photos on his trip to the park.
In a collage of photos, he acts like a gorilla while standing beside the real thing and imitates an elephant sticking out his tongue.
In another shot, the animal lover graciously gives a spa treatment to one lucky rhinoceros.

Gavin DeGraw Won't Miss Tanning for Dancing with the Stars
Originally posted 04/18/2012 07:00PM
Gavin DeGraw didn't end up at the bottom of the Dancing with the Stars leader board more than once because he couldn't handle the demands of the show.
In fact, the high-intensity schedule of rehearsing in front of cameras and performing live in the ballroom is what helped him come as far as he did.
"I'll miss the whole pressure element of the show," DeGraw, 35, told PEOPLE backstage after he and partner Karina Smirnoff were booted from the ballroom Tuesday. "I enjoy the pressure. I don't necessarily enjoy it all the time, but pressure is good frequently."
Tanning, on the other hand, is another matter.

Dancing with the Stars: Gavin DeGraw & Karina Smirnoff Eliminated
Originally posted 04/17/2012 10:15PM
Just as Dancing with the Stars's competition was starting to look up last week for Karina Smirnoff and partner Gavin DeGraw, they once again sunk to the bottom of the leaderboard after Monday night's 19-point samba.
They've been saved in prior weeks after low scores, but will fans' votes once again be enough to keep the pair on the show? The second lowest scores of the night went to Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his recovering partner Melissa Gilbert, who earned 21 points for their samba. Gladys Knight and Tristan MacManus were one point above them with a score of 22 for their samba.
Dancing with the Stars Couples Light Up Latin Night

After Sherri Shepherd's shocking elimination on Dancing with the Stars last week, the remaining contestants felt the pressure and turned up the heat for Latin Night in the ballroom on Monday.
Taking on the salsa, samba and the Argentine tango, nine couples performed hip-shaking routines that were in some cases downright steamy.
Maria Menounos and Derek Hough performed one of the night's sexiest routines, sealing their salsa with a controversial kiss. "That was hot," Carrie Ann Inaba said, but "I don't think you needed the kiss ... Dance is about the illusion of passion."
Karina Smirnoff & Gavin DeGraw Plan to Show Some Skin on Dancing with the Stars

It was amazing to have not been in the bottom this week on Dancing with the Stars! When it was announced that Melissa and Maks were safe, we thought we were in the bottom two and we were okay with that. But then it was announced that we were safe and we thought, "We don't know what to do! This is awesome!"
I think it was our determination to not be in the bottom two this week that kept us safe. We worked our booties off and the judges saw our progress. It helped that the music and the movements of the tango were so powerful. I also have to give Gavin a lot of credit. He put in a lot of extra work to make sure that he nailed every step.
This week is Latin week, a very sexy week on the show. Gavin is definitely going to be wearing a little less clothing in this dance than normal. He won't be taking off his signature hat, but he is going to be minus the jacket – maybe minus the shirt? We definitely are going to show a little more skin.

Melissa Gilbert: It's Hard to Be Sexy After Head Injury
Originally posted 04/16/2012 12:05PM
Things that go bump ...
This week has been the most challenging for me so far this season of Dancing with the Stars. As you know, Maks and I had a bit of an accident Monday night. The moment it happened, I had no idea what had gone wrong. I just knew Maks fell. My head hurt a lot and I assumed I'd hit it on the dance floor.
Things were spinning a bit for me when the judges gave their critiques. In fact, by the time I got up to the skybox I had no idea what they'd said.
Melissa Gilbert Suffers Whiplash and Concussion

Melissa Gilbert says she'll be fine.
The Dancing with the Stars contestant, who was rushed to the hospital on a stretcher Monday night after performing a paso doble with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Tweeted a health update later.
"I'm alright," she wrote. "Mild concussion and whiplash. Very soon I will be safely home resting and being taken care of."
And it seems there are plenty of people watching out for the actress. "@Maksim you are my champion. I adore you," she wrote of her partner in a follow-up Tweet, before adding of her helpful competitor, "@GavinDeGraw bless your heart for carrying me down those stairs!"
