Mel B: The Spice Girls Are Finished for Good
Originally posted 09/05/2008 09:30AM
The Spice Girls seemed to leave the door open for another reunion when their tour ended in February, but Melanie Brown says that door has shut for good.
Asked whether the group would ever come together to tour again, Brown offered a quick and emphatic "No" to reporters Thursday night at the 8th Annual BMI Urban Awards in Beverly Hills, adding, "[last year's tour] was our final goodbye."
But Scary Spice still misses her bandmates – Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) – despite comments she made recently, which indicated she and the girls are "not in touch much."

Originally posted 05/12/2008 03:05PM
Ginger Spice may look amazing these days, but she's more concerned with being a role model for her daughter than with spending her life at the gym.
"I want to have a healthy body image for Bluebell," Geri Halliwell tells the U.K.'s Glamour of her daughter, who turns 2 on May 14. "I think it's good to promote a healthy example, so whatever shape she is, she loves herself."
"I used to be an exercise freak," says the singer, who has batteld bulimia in the past. "[Now] yoga has always been a consistent, loving thing to do. I'm not into the Madonna-esque yoga-cising."

Geri Halliwell: Motherhood Healed Rift with Posh
Originally posted 04/21/2008 10:35AM
Geri Halliwell says her feud with Victoria Beckham ended with major help from some maternal bonding.
After a rift that began when Halliwell quit the Spice Girls in 1998 and continued when Posh left her off the guest list for her wedding to David Beckham, the pair speak regularly and their children are playmates, according to Britain's You Magazine.
"I have huge admiration for Victoria," says Halliwell. "She had her boys with her the whole time and she's done such a great job with them – they are all so well mannered and caring. Victoria and I are actually the biggest supporters of each other. We feel really proud of one another."

Originally posted 02/27/2008 09:10AM
It's official! Using their song lyrics and blog, the Spice Girls bid a final farewell Wednesday to cap the conclusion of their successful reunion tour.
"Our time is up ... we've come to the end of the road ... there are tears of both sadness and joy. Look how far we've come!," the group wrote on their Web site. "Yes, our reunion tour is proof that dreams do come true."
The letter to fans on the Spice blog was signed with love from Emma [Bunton], Geri [Halliwell], Mel B [Brown], Melanie C [Chisolm] and Victoria [Beckham] after concluding a song best summed up their feelings:
"Goodbye my friend, it's not the end ... So glad we made it, time will never ever change it ... "

Legally Spice: Geri Halliwell Conquers Capitol Hill

Geri Halliwell flexed her goodwill muscles in Washington D.C. Thursday, as the Spice Girls reunion tour wound down.
Halliwell (a.k.a. Ginger Spice) stopped by the nation's Capitol to lobby Congress for maternal health care and AIDS relief as part of her work as a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. Population Fund (UNFPA) – something she's been a part of for the past 10 years.
"We all are mothers or have a mother, so we need to support the mothers of the world," Halliwell, 35, told PEOPLE of her visit to Congress to "speak for people who don't have a voice."

Geri Halliwell Calls Cruz Beckham 'A Little Star'
Originally posted 02/19/2008 01:00PM
The reviews are in for little Cruz Beckham's break-dancing routine at Monday's Spice Girls concert in New York – and Geri Halliwell, for one, is a fan.
"Victoria’s son Cruz was a little star," Halliwell writes on the Spice Girls' official blog. "We all had our children up on stage tonight and Cruz started break dancing! How cool is that? It’s clearly in the family."
Halliwell's own 21-month-old daughter, Bluebell Madonna, also joined the party onstage, taking the mic and cooing at the end of the song, "Mama" after young Beckham, who turned 3 Thursday, showed off some choice moves.

Spice Girls: Goodbye for Good?
Originally posted 02/15/2008 08:00AM
Planning to catch the Spice Girls on the next go-round? Don't hold your breath!
That's the pessimistic prognosis from Geri Halliwell (a.k.a. Ginger Spice), who tells Billboard magazine that a reunion tour "probably won't happen ever again."
The group's Return of the Spice Girls World Tour finishes in Toronto on February 26 and that, she said, "is the last time you will ever get to see this Girl Power, the five Spices on the stage as one."

The Spice Girls Return Home
Originally posted 12/15/2007 08:30PM
In a holiday treat for Spice Girls fans in Britain, the group took to the stage Saturday night – although Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) showed signs of a recent ankle injury.
Still, when she came onto the stage, Bunton shouted, "We are back again!" And Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) greeted the crowd, saying, "Hello, London!"
In the front row, Victoria Beckham's family cheered for the group, and her eldest son, Brooklyn, waved to his mom (aka Posh Spice) when she came close to where they were sitting during the opening sequence.
