Originally posted 05/17/2009 11:10AM
After an absence of five years, No Doubt returned to the stage Saturday as if they hadn't missed a beat. "You always remember your first show of any tour," singer Gwen Stefani told the audience a few songs into the concert, "and so far, so, so, so good."
Dressed in white, members of the band ripped through a 90-minute set at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, the highlight of the 12th annual Tiger Jam, a benefit for the Tiger Woods Foundation, which specializes in children's education.
"The only reason we're doing the tour is to feel inspired," Stefani, 39, told a crowd of 12,000 that included Woods, P. Diddy, Cassie, and a plethora of professional athletes.

Originally posted 02/20/2009 09:35AM
Gavin Rossdale won't miss Kingston when he starts his tour in April. Why? Because his 2 ½-year-old son will hit the road with dad.
"I take Kingston for as long as he wants, so I try to drum that into him: 'Are you ready to go on tour? Are you ready to go on tour?' It's going to be fun!" Rossdale told PEOPLE at the Global Green pre-Oscar party on Thursday night.
And according to Rossdale, all it takes to keep the tour kid-friendly are appropriate sleeping accommodations. "Just get him bunks so he won't fall out – that's the main thing."

Kingston's Christmas: Roller Skating & Church
Originally posted 12/28/2008 09:00AM
How does the son of a couple rock stars spend the Christmas holiday? Learning to roller skate!
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale took their eldest son Kingston, 2, to Moonlight Rollerway in Glendale on Dec. 23 for an afternoon on wheels.
"It looked like it was Kingston's first time roller skating, and the little guy looked so cute," an eyewitness said. "Kingston tried to skate between Gwen and Gavin, but even though they were holding his hands, Kingston's legs kept skating in different directions so it was impossible for him to stand up."
The tot was all laughs despite his efforts, and managed to stay upright to dance the "Hokey Pokey" with his mom.
The following day, the whole Rossdale family – including new addition Zuma – attended Christmas Eve Service at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Los Angeles.

No Doubt is back!
After a four-year hiatus, the band is planning to hit the road next year.
"I don't think we should wait. Pack up the babies and get a bunch of nannies. So fun! Would be so inspiring to get out there and play all those songs again," singer Gwen Stefani wrote in a band chat on No Doubt's Web site Friday night.
"We need to play. It's been too long," wrote bassist Tony Kanal. "I feel like it's time for some rock and roll."
Although the band has not announced any cities or dates, sources says the tour will likely kick off in summer 2009.

Gavin Rossdale: Zuma is 'Very Buddha-like'
Originally posted 11/08/2008 05:00PM
Gavin Rossdale's son Zuma is only 2 months old, but he's already exhibiting a Zen-like personality that inspires his father.
"He's super mellow, and at the moment very Buddha-like," Rossdale told PEOPLE at BAFTA/LA's Brittania Awards, where he performed Thursday night.
Still, Rossdale says Zuma has been a little bit fussier for mom Gwen Stefani than his older brother Kingston, 2, who was an even more blissed-out baby. "Apparently Zuma's more trouble, but I thought that he was perfect all the way."
