Halle Berry Mentally Ready for Another Baby

Halle Berry is open to having more kids – but don't expect her to be like octuplets' mom Nadya Suleman.

Berry confirms to Ellen DeGeneres on her show that she wants another child, but says she's not up for double digits. "I hope I don't have like 14 more," quips Berry, who is mom to 1-year-old Nahla Ariela.

Still, Berry isn't ruling out that a brother or sister could be in the future for her daughter with model Gabriel Aubry. "My mind says yes," she tells DeGeneres, "but the rest isn't up to me so we'll see."

Halle Berry: Nahla Makes Me Better Every Day

Surrounded by a who's who of Hollywood's powerful women on Thursday, one little woman was on Halle Berry's mind: her 11-month-old daughter Nahla.

"As a woman, I thought it was all about work and accomplishments," said Berry, 42, at Essence magazine's Black Women in Hollywood luncheon. "Then this little baby comes along and says that it's not about that."

Tears streaming down her face as she held her Power award presented by the magazine, the actress said, "I'm complete. I have more to offer my craft because [my daughter] makes me indelibly better every day."

Halle Berry & Gabriel Aubry Want More Kids

She may be their only child for now, but Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry's daughter, Nahla Ariela, will be getting a brother or sister – if the proud papa gets his way.

"She needs a sibling," Aubry told PEOPLE at Monday's Callaway Golf Foundation Challenge at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., to benefit the Entertainment Industry Foundation. "I think it's important."

"I've never known anybody who's had a single child [and] I've always been around big families," adds Aubry, who comes from a family of eight children. "I believe in big families."

And what does Berry, 42, think of his plans to expand the family?

"She's okay with it," he says. "Absolutely."

Halle Berry isn't just one hot mama – she's also officially the sexiest woman alive, according to Esquire magazine.

"I don't know exactly what it means, but being 42 and having just had a baby, I think I'll take it," says Berry, who gave birth to her daughter, Nahla, in March.

The actress, who appears on the cover of Esquire's November issue, also tells the magazine, "sexiness is a state of mind – a comfortable state of being. It's about loving yourself in your most unlovable moments."
