Molly (Halle Berry) finally revealed her mysterious pregnancy to her husband, John, but the baby brought more fears than joy in Wednesday's episode of Extant.
In the third episode, titled "Wish You Were Here," Molly's side effects of her space pregnancy were downright bizarre; she was seeing either strange circles pop up from her skin or hallucinations of Tim, the brother of her previous (and dead) boyfriend Marcus, walking around her birthday party. Only when John revealed that Tim was never present at their house did Molly realize the extent of her post-space condition.

Houston, we have a problem: Molly's got a brain abnormality!
In episode 2 of Extant, CBS's Steven Spielberg-produced drama that debuted July 9, Molly (Halle Berry) confides in her doctor, Sam (Camryn Manheim), that an alien doppelgänger of her dead boyfriend Marcus may have impregnated her in space during those 13 months away from home.
Sam, however, thinks Molly may be hallucinating – a nasty side effect of a brain abnormality that also plagued former astronaut Harmon Kryger (Brad Beyer), the creepy ginger who's been stalking Molly and warning her to trust no one.

A fair amount of jet lag is certainly to be expected for anyone coming back from a 13-month-long trip to space. A bout of morning sickness is not.
So, astronaut Molly Woods (Oscar winner Halle Berry) is more than a little stunned to learn that her solo mission turned into a surprise party for two.
For anyone who's seen the parade of promos for Extant, the Steven Spielberg-produced drama that debuted Wednesday on CBS, the premiere wasn't exactly packed with surprises.
For instance, we already knew that a gorgeous man/alien who resembles Molly's former (and late) boyfriend Marcus is probably who fathered the surprise she's carrying – but this is news she's keeping on the down-low from her husband, John (Goran Visnjic, formerly of ER), and her robot-son prototype, Ethan (Looper's impressive tyke Pierce Gagnon).
