To the moon, Leo!
An unnamed bidder at Thursday night's amFAR Cinema Against AIDS Charity auction paid $1.5 million for a trip into outer space with Leonardo DiCaprio during the group's 20th anniversary gala at the Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc.
A few minutes later, after a lot of encouragement from guest emcee Sharon Stone, another couple paid $2.3 for two seats on the same Virgin Galactic voyage. All told, the evening brought in $25 million for the cause, up from $11 million last year.
All three astronauts will spend three days in training with DiCaprio in Texas and then sit next to him when they blast into the stratosphere aboard one of Sir Richard Branson's new fleet of spaceships.

With the Golden Globes just days away, Michelle Williams, Bradley Cooper and many other stars mingled at a Weinstein Company and Audi-hosted bash at West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont. The My Week with Marilyn star spent most of her night with pal Busy Philipps, and worked the party with a smile, staying until just before midnight. A casual Cooper (in a black leather jacket) showed up later and got chummy with Williams and the party's host, Harvey Weinstein. They captured the moment by snapping a photo together.
Also at the soiree: Lindsay Lohan, who was spotted greeting Jeremy Piven; Jane Lynch; and the cast of The Artist.

RATED: In its season premiere Monday night, the two-hour edition of ABC's The Bachelor, starring Charlie O'Connell (brother of Crossing Jordan's Jerry), proved that the honeymoon is over for the dating-game franchise. The show averaged a disappointing 8.26 million viewers, according to preliminary ratings, putting it in fourth place in the 9-10 p.m. timeslot and only a slightly better third place from 10-11 p.m. In better news for its network, the new Sunday night series Grey's Anatomy, with Sandra Oh, attracted 16.2 million viewers for its premiere this week, following the return (after a five-week hiatus) of Desperate Housewives. The week's top show was Tuesday's American Idol, with nearly 28 million viewers.
