Haylie Duff Gets a Black Eye – from Her Dog

Actress Haylie Duff has a new look: a black eye, courtesy of her dog.

"My black eye from Birdie (my big dog) … Owner abuse!!" she shared on Twitter Tuesday, along with a photo of her sporting a bruise under her left eye.

While its unclear exactly what happened, Duff, who adopted a Chihuahua-pug mix named Kennedy last month, doesn't seem too upset about the doggy dust-up.

Hilary Duff was joking with sister Haylie about bringing a baby boy into a family dominated by women. The sisters were hanging out at a party for stylist Jessica Paster's JustFabulous collection at a private house in the Hollywood Hills. Joining them for the sit-down dinner party (which was co-hosted by Emily Blunt): Duff's hubby, Mike Comrie. The evening also took on a holiday theme as guests swilled champagne and huddled around a Christmas tree, where Jessica gave out gifts from her new line. – Jessica Wedemeyer

The starlet and her sister – plus several friends – made an energetic arrival, and stayed revved up all night: Hilary danced provocatively to Britney Spears's new single, "Womanizer," and offered her girlfriends little lapdances, an onlooker tells us. And the sisters were in for the long haul, talking and dancing until the club closed. Also there: Frankie Delgado and Doug Reinhart.

Haylie Duff's Hot Tamale Tradition

Haylie Duff spent last Christmas in Miami, but found it "so much work" that she'll be home in L.A. with her mom Susan and sister Hilary, 20, this year.

"We haven't done that in a really long time, so we're staying home and having a normal Christmas night," Duff, 22, tells PEOPLE. The star-filled home won't be slaving over the stove though.
