Three cheers for Ava Sambora!
Heather Locklear may currently be under a doctor's care following her recent hospitalization, but that isn't stopping her daughter from stepping out with a smile.
Sambora, 14 – who is Locklear's only child with ex-husband Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi – sported her cheerleading uniform on Wednesday while photographed in Calabasas, Calif., with a big grin on her face.
"I actually love wearing my cheer uniform to school," the blonde teen Tweeted on Tuesday, followed by a chipper post the next day that said, "Yayy its [sic] february!"

Heather Locklear, who was hospitalized earlier this month after mixing wine and prescription medication, is currently "under a doctor's care" – but is not in rehab, a source close to the situation tells PEOPLE.
The former Melrose Place beauty, 50, who has struggled with anxiety and depression for years, is now seeking help in her own way, and those who are close to the star are hoping she'll recover quickly.
"Her family and friends haven't given up hope, but they know that for her to get well, she has to want it for herself," the source says. "She's the only one who can do it."

The initial scare is over. Now comes a difficult question for Heather Locklear.
After the Melrose Place actress was briefly hospitalized for reportedly mixing prescription drugs and alcohol, friends and family are hoping she'll seek rehab, sources tell PEOPLE.
"She's weighing her options right now," says one source. "Her family is all over her with concern, and that's a hard thing to hear."

Heather Locklear's hospitalization on Thursday night reportedly came after the actress ingested a mixture of drugs and alcohol.
While a rep for Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center tells PEOPLE that Locklear, 50, was discharged from their hospital Friday evening, leaving in the care of her family, she was reportedly "out of control" when her sister dialed 911 night prior, according to Entertainment Tonight.
"Heather became a different person on drugs," a source tells the show, adding that Locklear, who was spotted on Tuesday night at an L.A. Lakers game, may be heading into rehab shortly.

Heather Locklear was in "medically stable" condition at a Thousand Oaks, Calif., hospital Thursday night with her parents at her side.
"She is in no danger and she's going to be just fine," Bill and Diane Locklear said in a statement issued by Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center.
The Melrose Place star, 50, was taken to the hospital after the fire department and sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call at her house northwest of Los Angeles. Reports say she may have mixed alcohol and prescription medication.

There may be an extra place setting around Jack Wagner's dinner table this holiday season – and not just because he and longtime girlfriend Heather Locklear are no longer together.
Wagner, 52, discovered earlier this month that he has a long-lost 23-year-old daughter from a "fling" he had with the girl's mother in the late 1980s, TMZ reports.
The girl, named Carrie, introduced herself to Wagner backstage at a Nov. 4 concert in Boca Raton, Fla. where the actor was performing with Rick Springfield.
Less than two weeks after the encounter, Wagner and Locklear announced they had called off their engagement, saying planning their wedding was not allowing them enough time to spend with their children.

They didn't get a happy ending together like the characters they played on Melrose Place, but it seems to be an amicable breakup for Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner.
They "still love each other very much," Wagner, 52, says, according to TMZ.com. Their decision to call off the engagement, which they announced Tuesday, was in the interest of their respective families.
The actor says they didn't have enough time to spend with their children because they were planning their wedding. He and Locklear also decided, he adds, that they didn't want to blend their families because their kids were too young and it would be disruptive.

Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner's Melrose Place characters wed on TV almost a decade ago, but there is no real-life marriage in the works for the actors who played Amanda Woodward and Peter Burns.
"Jack and Heather are no longer engaged," Locklear's rep tells PEOPLE.
The longtime couple, who got engaged in August, had Locklear's daughter Ava's stamp of approval.

When Heather Locklear announced in August that she was getting hitched to her longtime boyfriend, actor Jack Wagner, she wasn't the only one happy about the upcoming nuptials.
Her 14-year-old daughter, Ava – dad is rocker Richie Sambora – is equally thrilled about her mom's big day.
"Ava was so excited when we told her," Locklear, 50, says in PEOPLE's new special issue Gorgeous At Any Age.
"She hugged Jack, said congratulations, and she immediately wanted to see the ring. Then she ran and Facebooked her new stepbrother."
"I want her to do what makes her happy," explains Ava. "That's the main point."
