Britney Is 'Pulling It Together,' Says JC Chasez
Originally posted 08/22/2008 09:00AM
Britney Spears is back to making music – and that may just be the best medicine for the troubled singer, says her old friend JC Chasez.
"As far as Britney getting back in the studio, [it's] obviously a good thing," the former 'N Sync star – and current judge on America's Best Dance Crew – told PEOPLE after Thursday's live season finale. "If she's doing what she loves – because she's had a love for music for such a long time – [then] I'm all for it."

Brittany Murphy's Holiday Spirit
Originally posted 12/22/2004 06:00AM
Brittany Murphy is in the spirit of giving this holiday season. "I'm either going on the USO tour during the holidays or home to New Jersey," the actress told us at the recent Just Cavalli/Flaunt magazine party in Beverly Hills. "I've been on two USO tours already. One was in the States and another was in Iraq, and I can't say where we are going if I go." As for her experience with the nonprofit organization, which aims to boost the morale of U.S. troops, Murphy says, "I will always be involved in the USO. Once you go over it's a part of you forever. It's nice being a friendly face from home." In fact, she has a personal connection to the USO: "I come from a military family – the Marine Corps," she says. "I have a bunch of family members in the Marines." Also at the party: Paris and Nicky Hilton, Mischa Barton, Brandon Davis, Leelee Sobieski, Jared Leto, Evan Rachel Wood and Kevin Connelly.

JC Chasez Rocks the Vote
Originally posted 10/05/2004 06:00AM
Just because 'N Sync is on hold, doesn't mean JC Chasez has nothing to do. In between working on his next solo effort (a follow-up to this year's Schizophrenic) – "It's time to do it again," he says, "I had so much fun with the last one. It's gonna be eclectic" – he showed up for a recent Rock the Vote event hosted by the WB network in Burbank. "Young people could be the difference in this election if they would just get in the booth," Chasez says. "The reason why people feel like this system is broken is because it hasn't changed, and the only way it's going to change is if people step up to the plate." Wicker Park star Josh Hartnett apparently agreed – he skipped the red carpet and headed straight to a table to sign up voters. "Young people should vote. They should start a habit," he says. "It's important to be involved in the country's process. No matter what you think of it, you can change the course of the next four years." Other star attendees: Jake Gyllenhaal and Amber Tamblyn (who introduced the screening of Rock the Vote's public service announcements, which were followed by an episode of the network's drama Jack & Bobby), Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls), Constance Marie (George Lopez ) and Aisha Tyler.

March 11, 2004MIAMI DANCE-OFF! What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas – but when Sin City takes over South Beach, all bets are off. On Monday night, owners of the Bellagio's ultra-hip nightclub Light rented out Mynt on Miami's Collins Street for a bash that featured an impromptu 2 a.m. dance-off between Jennifer Lopez and 'NSync's JC Chasez. "J.Lo was dancing all around like she was single ... even though she was there with Marc Anthony," says a spy, who watched the two stars take turns popping and locking on tabletops and speaker boxes to songs including "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes. "I would say JC won because he was up there for almost an hour and a half straight," another onlooker tells the Daily Insider.
