Everything's coming up rosy – pink, that is – for Dancing with the Stars champion J.R. Martinez and his girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones.
Pink was the hue of the day on Saturday as the expectant parents were feted at a shower hosted by All My Children executive producer Julie Carruthers at her Hollywood Hills home. "It was lovely," one guest told PEOPLE.
"With all of the wonderful gifts we received at the baby shower, my man cave dreams are out the window," Martinez told PEOPLE after the event.

In her first post, she writes about what she's been up to since taking home the mirror-ball trophy with season 13 winner J.R. Martinez and how she's getting along in rehearsals with her new partner, singer Gavin DeGraw:
Last season of DWTS finished right before Thanksgiving and I had practically zero days off. But I'm not complaining. I'm super excited about the ability to work. And there's always a lot going on.

J.R. Martinez Gets His Dog Ready for Baby

While J.R. Martinez, who is expecting a daughter in May, gets himself ready for fatherhood, he's also prepping his other baby, dog Romeo, for the arrival.
"I think Romeo's going to have a hard time at first – there's not going to be so much playing catch 24/7," the Dancing with the Stars champ, 28, tells PEOPLE of his beloved black Lab. "But at the end of the day, he's a loving pup, so I think he's going to be able to adapt to her one day pulling on his tail, pulling on his ears, trying to ride him, whatever it may be."
Romeo's entry into the Martinez home began at an auction over a year ago. Martinez, who was helping auction the items, fell for Romeo but couldn't resolve his internal debate.

Affirmative, according to most-recent champ on Dancing with the Stars, J.R. Martinez.
Saying he and the Denver Bronco quarterback – and Jockey brand underwear model – recently ran into one another, Martinez tells Celebuzz.com, "We chatted about [Dancing"]. ... I thought he'd do pretty well on the show!"
Only not this season. "He said, 'Maybe in a year,' " said Martinez.

J.R. Martinez and Diana Gonzalez-Jones, who are expecting their first daughter in May, have narrowed the names to two. Expect something special – but nothing absurd.
"We won't name her Apple Cider or Salami," the Dancing with the Stars champ, 28, vowed to PEOPLE at Sunday's Screen Actors Guild Awards. "It won't be our favorite dish or our favorite getaway or favorite car or show."
So, what's left after that? "It will be something really close and personal to us that feels like we're giving something to her that is very special," he says.

When J.R. Martinez learned that he and his girlfriend, Diana Gonzalez-Jones, were having a girl, he couldn’t help but smile.
"God has a tremendous sense of humor that he wants to continue to surround me with women," says Martinez, 28. "I was raised by a single mom so I think I'm sensitive to women. I just like spending time with women. I like to talk with women and listen to what they have to say."
Even though the baby's arrival is several months away, the Iraq war veteran-turned actor and Dancing With the Stars champ is already making plans for his little girl.

J.R. Martinez Is Going to Be a Dad

He nabbed a mirror ball trophy on Dancing With the Stars last month, but the biggest and best prize is yet to come – J.R. Martinez tells PEOPLE exclusively that he and girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones are expecting their first child in May.
"We found out just last week it's a girl and we are over the moon," Martinez, 28, says.
"Diana has a little baby bump now and it's the cutest thing ever. With the holidays coming up, this is the biggest and best gift we could get."
The Iraq war vet and Gonzalez-Jones met when he landed a role on All My Children in 2008.

Just because he won ABC's Dancing with the Stars two weeks ago doesn't mean injured Iraq war veteran J.R. Martinez can't put on his dancing shoes to help other disabled vets.
Martinez, 28, was guest of honor at Lois Pope's the Lady in Red Ball at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club Friday night in Palm Beach, where he was presented with the Unsung Hero Award for "overcoming devastating injuries to make a full life for himself and in so doing bring the plight of America's three million living disabled veterans into our country's consciousness."
