Jack Osbourne: 'My Dad Is Not an Idiot'
Originally posted 08/26/2008 08:40AM
Jack Osbourne wants to set the record straight about his famous father. And that means taking a few swipes at the MTV reality show that put his family back on the map.
"I think The Osbournes, to a degree, tarnished the public's perception of my dad as a bit of a senile, funny, bumbling guy," Jack tells Rolling Stone magazine. "Yeah, my dad can be that guy, but it's not [all of] him. "
Now Jack is trying to rejuvenate his dad's rocker legacy. He has recruited his own pals and his dad's former bandmates to contribute to a documentary he began shooting in January.

BARRED: The man accused of stalking tennis star Anna Kournikova has been ordered to stay at least 1,000 feet away from the tennis player – if he ever gets out of jail, the Associated Press reports. William Lepeska, 40, was arrested Jan. 30 after swimming nude across Florida's Biscayne Bay toward Kournikova's home, where he surfaced at a residence several houses away from hers. Lepeska, who once served time for stabbing a college student, faces charges of battery on police officers, resisting arrest, burglary, and more. If convicted, he may be sentenced up to 30 years in state prison.

Zach Braff: Still a Tortured Soul
Originally posted 08/20/2004 06:00AM
Scrubs star Zach Braff had some real-life lows to draw from when writing, directing and starring in the offbeat comedy Garden State, in which his character experiences some seriously crushing unhappiness. "I've been in some really depressed periods of my life," says Braff, 29, adding that his flourishing career doesn't make him immune to the blues. "I was a waiter three years ago. But financial and career success doesn't necessarily kill a good malaise. That's one of the hard things about becoming successful – you can't tell people you're depressed. You've got to keep it to your parents – they're the only ones who'll listen."

Daze of Their Lives
Originally posted 11/27/2002 12:00PM
Stepping into the living room of her four-bedroom Beverly Hills mansion, Sharon Osbourne appears far more delicate than she did in the first season of MTV's The Osbournes. Four months of chemotherapy have taken a toll: Her weight has dwindled by 22 lbs. Her 5'2" frame is swallowed up in her white robe. "I don't know what that stuff is they put inside you," she says as she settles down on a velvet sofa with a Pomeranian named Minnie and her husband, heavy-metal legend Ozzy Osbourne, "but it shrinks you as well."

On his fourth day of treatment there, the youngest member of heavy metal's first family said that once he realized his predicament, "I voluntarily checked myself into a detox facility for my own health and well-being." Father Ozzy, 54, tells PEOPLE: "It takes a lot of courage and strength to admit you need help, and both Sharon and I are proud Jack is facing his problems head-on."
