Chris Brown's return to the Grammy Awards this year – he performed twice and won a gramophone for best R&B album – was not welcomed by everyone.

Country star Miranda Lambert tweeted her disapproval of Brown's appearance writing, "Chris Brown twice? I don't get it. He beat on a girl ... Not cool that we act like that didn't happen."

Added Lambert, "He needs to listen to Gunpowder and Lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys." (The reference is to Lambert's song about a woman waiting to kill her husband after he gets out of jail.)

Brown pled guilty to assaulting Rihanna, who was his girlfriend, in 2009 the day before the Grammy Awards. He has not been back to the awards since that incident. Rihanna also performed Sunday night.
