New York City's Governors Ball doesn't have quite the cachet (or celebrity sightings) of Coachella, or the sprawl of Bonnaroo, but it's no slouch in the ever-increasing summer festival lineup.
The three-day festival took over Randall's Island this weekend, and while it'd be impossible to recapture all three days' worth of music, here are some highlights.

Jack White is challenging his ex's claims he is violent.
Following a restraining order granted to his ex, Karen Elson on July 19, the rocker's attorney Cathy Spears wrote in response: "Mr. White vehemently denies Ms. Elson's allegation that she is fearful for her safety, as well as the safety of the parties' two minor children."
Pointing out emails from Elson, 34, to White, 38, as examples of amicability between the pair, Spears goes on to say that after signing in support of the restraining order, "Ms. Elson left the children with White for 10 days and traveled to New York for a work/pleasure trip. One who was truly fearful of another would not leave their children alone with that person for 10 days."

Model and musician Karen Elson has been granted a restraining order by a Tennessee judge against her ex-husband, rocker Jack White.
Saying she "fears for her and her children's safety" as a result of her husband's alleged harassment, Elson claims in her affidavit for the order that White had a violent temper and sent her threatening texts and emails over custody arrangements for their two children, Nashville's The City Paper reports.

It's the only awards show that's as much a concert as it is a parade of stars. So, who brought the goods Sunday night at the Grammys?
There were plenty of memorable moments, both solo performances and the duets and collaborations for which the Grammys are so famous.
Justin Timberlake made his much-anticipated – and, it turned out, sepia-toned – return to the Grammys, with help from Jay-Z, singing "Suit & Tie" and "Pusher Love Girl." That came soon after Taylor Swift opened the show with a flamboyant Alice in Wonderland take on her hit "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

Performing solo just never seemed to be Jack White's thing.
In his years leading the White Stripes before they disbanded in 2011, you always got the sense that they were a duo more for appearance's sake – just because he liked it that way – than a real creative partnership. (Sorry, Meg.) Even when he did side projects, he chose to work in other bands (the Raconteurs, the Dead Weather) and produce other artists (from Loretta Lynn to Wanda Jackson).
With Blunderbuss, though, White finally earns his solo stripes.

Rocker Jack White and his model-singer wife Karen Elson are celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary in an unusual way: they're getting divorced.
"Karen Elson and Jack White announce today that they are getting divorced," the two say in a joint statement released by their rep. "We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee. We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow."
But that's not all.

It isn't everyday that R&B soul singer Alicia Keys teams up with rock and roll Racounteurs frontman Jack White. But they've done just that – all in the name of Bond.
The duo has premiered the video for the theme to the new Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. "Another Way to Die," written by White, features Keys on piano, White on guitar, and both artists strutting through a computer-generated desert in fashions fit for espionage.
White, 33, and Keys, 28 announced their collaboration – the first duet in Bond history – in July. The song – which will play over the movie's opening credits – hit the airwaves on Sept. 18.
Quantum of Solace, starring Daniel Craig, hits theatres Nov. 14.

Jack White and Alicia Keys's theme for the new James Bond adventure Quantum of Solace offers this tongue-twisting lyric: "Another blinger with the slick trigger finger for Her Majesty."
In other words, 007 is back. The song, titled "Another Way To Die," has White delivering the line about the "blinger," to which Keys warbles, "Another one with the golden tongue poisoning your fantasy."
