Jennifer Love Hewitt: Breakup Rumors Are 'Hurtful'

Buzz about an impending breakup between Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy is just that – buzz, according to the Ghost Whisperer star.
"I'm not going to lie – it's not annoying, it's hurtful," Hewitt told PEOPLE Saturday at the Children's Institute Hosts Poker for a Cause in Commerce, Calif., to benefit Ghost Whisperer costar Camryn Manheim's charity.
"It's really hurtful that people say that," says Hewitt, 30, who attended the event with her beau of 8 months, costar Jamie Kennedy. "Because he is like the most awesome person."

While a new report suggests that Kennedy, 39 – who began dating Hewitt, 30, last winter – is no longer smitten with his Ghost Whisperer costar and is instead still hung up on Funk (a former assistant of Britney Spears), a rep for Kennedy told PEOPLE on Thursday: "There's no truth to this report."

The loving twosome lounged by the pool and also spent time with Kennedy's family, enjoying breakfast at the Metropolitan. "They seemed happy," says an onlooker. "They were cuddling and having good time."

Congratulations are not in order – at least not yet – for Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy.
Despite a report published Tuesday that Kennedy had proposed to his girlfriend onstage at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, Calif., over the weekend, reps for both stars say it's not the case. "There's no truth to the report," says Hewitt's rep. Kennedy's rep echoes: "There's no truth to this report whatsoever."

Jennifer Love Hewitt Sells Shirts at Beau's Comedy Show

When Ghost Whisperer star Jamie Kennedy performed his standup act over the weekend at Comix comedy club in New York City, he got some over-the-top help from girlfriend and co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt. She posed for pictures with fans – and worked the merchandise table selling Kennedy's T-shirts and DVDs.
PEOPLE caught up with Kennedy after his set, and it's clear the comedian is completely smitten. "I'm really lucky because I get to play all over the United States and my girlfriend comes," he says. "She's so amazing, just the most supportive person I've ever been with." In March, Kennedy confirmed the pair were dating.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy Have the Same Taste in Men

Jennifer Love Hewitt has had her up and downs in relationships, but the Ghost Whisperer star is "the happiest I've ever been" with new boyfriend Jamie Kennedy.
"We just make each other laugh and we're best friends," Hewitt told reporters at the premiere of Kennedy's film, Finding Bliss, at the 14th Annual Gen Art Film Festival in New York City on Tuesday night.
So, when did sparks start to fly? "We've known each other for a very long time and there's just something there. We've always had this mutual admiration society," says Kennedy. "She is the most generous and thoughtful person you'll ever meet. She's amazingly talented and people don't realize that she's incredibly funny too. She's a great person to be with."
Looking svelte in a navy blue Camilla and Marc dress and YSL platform stilettos, Hewitt added: "Him being hilarious is what makes this relationship work. When you're really funny, there's nothing really bad that can happen."
And although the two haven't been together for "that long," Hewitt said that they are "very much alike."

Jennifer Love Hewitt Steps Out with Jamie Kennedy

In matching white outfits, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy had their first glamorous night out together since the actor was diagnosed with kidney stones last week.
"I feel good!" said Kennedy, who arrived at the 44th Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday clasping Love Hewitt's hand. "This is like our first day out in six or seven days. We've been kind of chilling, relaxing."
The actor, who costars with Hewitt in Ghost Whisperer, gushed over his stunning girlfriend who wore a flowing white gown to the awards. He admits he had a little help from her with his own preening and choice of a matching white suit.
