Jared Leto Rocks a New Look – As '80s Cross-Dresser

Photos from the New Orleans set of The Dallas Buyers Club feature Jared Leto working his best drag moves. With a fluffy brunette wig, fur jacket and pumps, (not to mention '80s-inspired eyeliner), the dude looks like a foxy lady, not unlike Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler with his square jawline.

Leto, 40, who fronts his own band, 30 Seconds to Mars, plays Rayon, a cross-dresser who is battling AIDS and who helps Matthew McConaughey's character smuggle drugs from Mexico. The independent film is based on a true story and also stars Jennifer Garner, reports EW.com.

Jared Leto's Dog Dies

It's a heart-wrenching decision every pet owner dreads, and Jared Leto faced it this week.

"Had to put my dog to sleep tonight. His name was SKY," the Thirty Seconds to Mars rocker Tweeted late on Wednesday. "He was the best."

Sky had been a part of Leto's family for several years. Leto's brother and bandmate, Shannon Leto, took to Twitter to mourn his dog.

"My real passion is an occupation no one knows about," the singer-actor told PEOPLE Monday, when he rocked the My Coke Fest in Cape Town, South Africa. "I'm a closet rock climber. I love being on the edge."

Jared Leto is rocking the Arctic Circle (or, at least, a barren area 200 miles north of it). The actor and 30 Seconds to Mars frontman has debuted his band's new video on MySpace, featuring the group rocking out on the ice caps in the middle of Greenland. "We've had an incredible time," Leto (wearing a nice warm coat) tells viewers in an introduction to the track, "A Beautiful Lie." "It's been nothing short of magical."
