My Name Is Earl star Jason Lee didn't just describe his show's season's finale on Thursday morning's Today show – he let slip the gender of the baby he and girlfriend Ceren Alkac are expecting.
It's a girl.
The announcement, made while standing outside in a very damp Rockefeller Plaza (it is raining in New York), even seemed to surprise Today regulars Meredith Vieira, Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Ann Curry.

My Name Is Earl star Jason Lee and his girlfriend, Ceren Alkac, are expecting a baby, the actor's rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.
The child, who is due in the fall, will be the first for the couple.
Lee, 38, also has a 4-year-old son, Pilot Inspektor, with his ex, actress Beth Riesgraf.

First, the good news for Jason Lee, the Golden Globe-nominated star of My Name is Earl: NBC has ordered another full season's worth of episodes of his sitcom, in which every week he works to restore his good karma.
