Jeff Gordon is racing toward an even bigger, happier family: The NASCAR star is now the father of two.
Gordon and his wife Ingrid Vandebosch, both 39, welcomed son Leo Benjamin on Monday at 8:53 a.m. He weighed 7 lbs, 2 oz., and measured 19 inches long.
"He's happy and healthy, and Mom is doing great," Gordon writes on his official Web site where he announced the news.

Jeff Gordon already revealed that he and his wife are expecting a baby in August, and now he's sharing some more happy news.
"I wanted to let all my fans on JeffGordon.com know first that Ingrid and I are having a boy!" the NASCAR driver wrote on his Web site Tuesday.
Last month, Gordon, 38, told fans that he and wife Ingrid Vandebosch, who are already parents to daughter Ella Sofia, 2½, "can't wait to expand our family to four."

Start your engines – there's another Gordon on the way.
Jeff Gordon and wife Ingrid Vandebosch are expecting their second child in August, the NASCAR star announced on his Web site Thursday.
"Ingrid and I wanted to be the first to tell you ... the exciting news that Ingrid is 12 weeks pregnant and expecting our second child," the racer, 38, wrote. "We're very excited and can't wait to expand our family to four. Ella is also very excited and can't stop talking about how much she's looking forward to being a big sister."
Gordon and Vandebosch, a model and actress, wed in Nov. 2006 and welcomed their daughter Ella Sofia, now 2½, in June 2007.

NASCAR star Jeff Gordon’s daughter Ella Sofia, who turned 2 in June, isn’t sure what her daddy does at the track, but she recognizes that his work involves sitting behind the wheel.
"She knows that I have a race car for work and when she sees [one] at the track she says, 'Go papa go!' " Gordon, 38, told PEOPLE's Celebrity Baby Blog late last week at The Glen in Watkins Glen, N.Y., where he was preparing to race in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
Ella planned to be on the sidelines "cheering him on" during Monday's race, after being rained out Sunday.

Nascar's Jeff Gordon knows how to celebrate being No. 1 – and in daughter Ella Sofia's case, turning 1.
"We had a puppet show for the kids and a one-man band, so she did some dancing. She enjoyed getting to pet some different animals at a little petting zoo, too. She had her birthday cupcake and seemed to like that a lot," Gordon, 37, wrote on his blog alongside photos of his daughter's first birthday party in California.

A daredevil on the racetrack, Jeff Gordon credits his wife, Ingrid, for being the rock in his family life.
"She's an amazing wife and mother," Gordon, 37, told PEOPLE at Wednesday's Pepsi 500 Running Wide Open party in Hollywood, which he cohosted with Pharrell Williams. "You've got to have a wife that's very understanding. I'm lucky to have that."
He explains, "It's because she wakes up everyday at 7 a.m. and does everything that she possibly can for her little girl – our little girl – and for me."
Gordon's model/actress wife, Ingrid Vandebosch, gave birth to their daughter, Ella Sofia Gordon, in June 2007.

As a first-time dad, Gordon, 36, tells PEOPLE he loves being hands-on with the feeding and diaper duty, but finds giving baths to little Ella the most rewarding. "The baths are the best! She's so happy in the bathtub," said Gordon.
