Former Bachelorette star Jen Schefft is engaged to her boyfriend, Joe Waterman, she tells PEOPLE exclusively.

"I'm so excited and so happy," says Schefft, 32.

The couple, who live in Chicago, met on a blind date in February. Their matchmaker: One of Schefft's previous blind dates, with whom she didn't click. "I figured I had to go out with Joe since I'd never been set up by someone I'd already gone on a date with," she explains.

Jessica and Ashlee, Britney and Jamie-Lynn – Hollywood's fascination with sisters is alive and well, and the Duff family is taking it up a notch. Actress-singer Hilary and big sis Haylie – who teamed up for a remake of the 1981 Go-Go's hit song "Our Lips Are Sealed" and toured together over the summer – are taking on the movie Material Girls, set to begin filming in April. "It’s just a fun movie about sisters who have a ton of money," Haylie told us recently. "They’re heiresses in the movie, with all their money. Then it’s kind of how they turn into good people. It’s cool. It’s a funny movie, and we’re remaking the song by Madonna." As for what else she's up to, the elder Duff says, "I'm working on Joan of Arcadia right now. I'm doing five weeks over there. I'm having so much fun. Amber Tamblyn is wonderful." Any word on Hilary? "My sister’s finally finishing up the Most Wanted tour that we did together in the U.S. She's doing another leg of it in Canada right now," says Haylie. "So she gets back in a couple of weeks. Then we're doing a Material Girls tour to promote the movie. We'll do that together next summer, June maybe." Stay tuned ...

In his new movie P.S., Topher Grace plays a would-be graduate student who becomes involved with a much-older admissions administrator (played by Laura Linney). But offscreen, his career didn't allow him to do much by way of hitting the books. "I had a one-year-in-college experience. And then someone (who) had seen me in a high school play asked me to come audition for (That '70s Show)," he said recently. "It was a real trade-off, me leaving college. We were filming on the Columbia (University) set for P.S., and there was a big part of me that wanted to kind of throw on my backpack and run away with the kids. But I do get another kind of education doing this."

Forget the student bars around New York University: Freshmen Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen seem to prefer to do their reveling a little farther uptown, at Chelsea hotspot Bungalow 8. Ashley stopped at the club late last week at about 2 a.m., wearing a coral minidress and black boots and accompanied by a few friends – though both Mary-Kate and Scott Sartiano, Ashley's rumored beau, were absent. Among Ashley's entourage for the night was Sartiano's friend and business partner, Ali Federrici. The group sat in a circular booth and Ashley cuddled with Federrici, holding his hand – but she soon was up out of her seat to dance. She waited on the restroom line with all the mortals, and emerged licking a pink lollipop.
