Jonathan Kite, who plays a short-order cook Oleg in 2 Broke Girls, says the show will serve up a fresh slice of all-American comedy when it returns to CBS Monday.
"It's just so real," he says of the show, which also stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs. "We're in New York, dealing with the economy. It has people who are struggling, small businesses – that's what America's been founded on."
The actor, 33, spoke with PEOPLE about L.A.'s diner scene, his favorite guest stars and where he wants to be in Hollywood.
On diners: "I think it's so funny when diners have carpet," Kite says. "You think to yourself [food] is going to spill. And it just looks like a giant Jackson Pollack painting. It just looks smelly."

There is a dark side to being one-half of sexy couple Jude Law and Sienna Miller – so she told us at the London premiere of their movie Alfie last week. "I'm not coping very well with all the attention, if I'm honest," confided the British actress. "You just become very thick-skinned and a little bit cynical and keep your family and friends close by." As for the recent rumors about the couple becoming engaged, Miller, 22, said: "It's rubbish – we're not getting married. It's absolutely not true." On a lighter note, we asked her just how much Law resembles his womanizing title character in the movie. "The good bits Jude has," she told us, "and thank God he doesn't have the bad ones." After the premiere, the couple appeared at the afterparty at Koko, a refurbished theater-cum-nightclub in London's Camden section. They posed for the cameras outside, then dashed straight to the VIP room without passing through the party. Alfie opens Nov. 5.
