Jenny McCarthy Hopes to Meet a Man at Work

Jenny McCarthy has tried online dating, blind dates and fix-ups, but now she has a new idea about how to meet eligible bachelors.
"I'm hoping to meet some on my talk show," McCarthy, 40, says of her new, self-titled VH1 gig. "I keep telling my producers to books some cute, heterosexual single men."
The idea to merge work and dating came from a friend and fellow talk show host, Chelsea Handler. "She told me book who you want to date," the former Playboy cover girl told PEOPLE at a fundraiser for Generation Rescue, her autism non-profit organization, at Studio Paris in Chicago on Tuesday.
But so far, the producers haven't come through. "Time and time again we're not getting them," said McCarthy, who arrived at the event in a black and white dress, gold-studded high-heel sandals and pink streaks in her blonde hair.

"This is my woman cave," says Jenny McCarthy, 40, of the bathroom in her penthouse apartment in the Trio Apartments in downtown Chicago. "All my friends know that if anyone calls me at night, I'm talking to them from my bathtub."
With its floor-to-ceiling windows and spa-like decor, the space allows the actress and host of a new VH1 late-night talk show to unplug from work and from her duties as a mom to son Evan, 10. McCarthy has kept the ambiance of the room muted.

Jenny McCarthy is single and looking but applicants must meet certain criteria – especially after one recent horrific date.
"Because of that date I do a criteria check before every date," the host of The Jenny McCarthy Show told PEOPLE over the weekend in Las Vegas. "Number one is, 'Do you like kids?' And number two is, 'Do you have kids?' "
The first question may sound like a bit of a no-brainer considering she's a mother of an 10-year-old, but one recent potential suitor didn't quite share McCarthy's same feelings about family life.

My son [Evan] does this funny thing with me. He rubs my nose with his and he says, "Evan loves you so much!" To have your little baby boy – who is now 10 – come to your face and do that, it is the best serotonin booster ever.

At least someone was productive while the Super Bowl experienced a power outage Sunday night.
Jenny McCarthy Tweeted an early Monday morning photo of a fresh tattoo that now covers the top of her right foot.
"Got a new tattoo during half time black out. So excited 2 b wearing heels on The Today Show this morning. Ouch," McCarthy, 40, posted with a photo, noting it was still painful. The tattoo features a rose with leaves and intricate vines.

Jenny McCarthy is on a mission. Aside from fulfilling her duties as co-host of the 10th annual Leather & Laces pre-Super Bowl soirée in New Orleans on Feb. 1, the sexy starlet also wants to meet some arm candy for the night.
"I'm going solo," she told PEOPLE on Friday. "Hell no, [I'm not bringing] any dates. I'm not looking for a boyfriend, but I am looking to have fun. What that entails, I don't know, but it is fun to talk to boys when you're single. I want just a sweet, nice – someone who isn't a slime ball."
Adds McCarthy, 40, "It's a really fun party. It attracts the adultsters. I love that term for them. People who grew up because they had to, but still want to go out and have a good time. It's a really, really, really lively group and the party always goes until at least three o' clock in the morning."

For Jenny McCarthy, New Year's Eve has become a parallel universe. It's the one night of the year when everyone else is crazy, and she's not.
"I'm excited," says McCarthy, 40, about co-hosting Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest on ABC. "I have more fun doing live TV than anything, I think because it's hard to censor. And I like that! So it's a little more off the cuff, and you never know what's going to happen."
That's an understatement. The show will run five hours again this year – it used to be just two and half – and McCarthy knows that's a lot of time for the hordes in Times Square to do unexpected things.

Jenny McCarthy Is a 'Cougar,' But Feels Like a Teenager

Jenny McCarthy is younger than you think – at least in the way she feels.
Though Thursday marks her 40th birthday, the Playboy cover girl told PEOPLE, "I sadly have the same thought that my parents say every birthday which is, 'I don't feel that old.' So, I have decided to make my mindset 40 is the new 15. Okay, fine – the new 22."
And what would be the perfect present?
"Bradley Cooper in my shower right now would be a pretty awesome birthday gift," she jokes in her blog for the Chicago Sun-Times.
In Las Vegas on Wednesday night she dressed as a "cougar" – a joke, considering her age. The ever-youthful McCarthy headed to town with her sister (also dressed as a cougar) to celebrate her birthday at Gallery Nightclub.

How is Jenny McCarthy getting over her recent breakup with Brian Urlacher? Vegas, baby!
The July/August Playboy cover girl headed to Sin City Friday with her sister and a small group of friends. Appearing happy, McCarthy, 39, drank Fiji water and danced in her VIP section at Mirage's 1 OAK Nightclub.
"I'm good," she told PEOPLE of her post-breakup state of mind before entering the club, although revealing little else.
Now single, McCarthy says work and her son Evan, 10, are her main focuses.

Jenny McCarthy was relatively tightlipped about her Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher while they were dating, but now that they've called it quits, she's making it known.
"Brian and I have decided to turn our romance into an amazing friendship," this year's July/August Playboy cover girl, 39, tells PEOPLE in a statement on Thursday. "I will continue to be the biggest cheerleader for him. Go, Bears!"
McCarthy played coy when reporters questioned her about her relationship in April, around the time romance rumors with the football pro, 34, first began. She said simply, "I'm giddy about someone."
